A IMAGEM NA INDÚSTRIA FONOGRÁFICA Como o k-pop conquistou o mercado da música ocidental Image in phonographic industry Adriana de Barros Ferreira Cunha1 Laiza Ferreira Kertscher2 RESUMO Este artigo se propõe a relacionar teorias e conceitos da Comunicação e dos estudos da imagem com a ascensão da música pop da Coreia do Sul, o k-pop, no mercado da indústria fonográfica mundial. Por meio de uma observação espontânea dos efeitos desse fenômeno, pretende- se compreender de que forma esse gênero musical, construído dentro do ideal de uma sociedade espetacularizada, se apoiou na imagem de seus artistas para conquistar destaque para além das fronteiras sul- coreanas. Além disso, busca-se relacionar o impacto das evoluções tecnológicas na indústria da música, em especial do cenário de propagabilidade proporcionado por ferramentas como o YouTube, como um dos principais difusores do k-pop. Palavras-chave: imagem, propagabilidade, celebridade. ABSTRACT This article proposes to relate theories and concepts of Communication and image studies with the rise of South Korean pop music, k-pop, in the world music industry market. Through a spontaneous observation of the effects of this phenomenon, the article intends to understand how this musical genre, built within the ideal of a spectacularized society, based on the image of its artists to gain prominence beyond the South Korean frontiers. Mesmo quando não há divulgação oficial pelos meio tradicionais (rádio, TV ou jornal), a internet passa a ser o meio essencial para visualização de outras culturas a partir do país de origem, sem intermediários que poderiam distorcer sua imagem. Por isso, este artigo pretende enxergar a música como forma de comunicação de uma cultura diferente da nossa e assim, pensar a internet como o meio que possibilita a disseminação, conhecimento e consumo de produtos da cultura pop sul coreana, vendo nesse movimento a reinterpretação e/ou construção de novas identidades culturais gerando um processo de hibridização cultural. Palavras-chave comunicação; cultura; internet; identidade Introdução As culturas asiáticas já estão muito presentes no Brasil, não só por consequência da imigração, que é muito marcante em lugares específicos do país, mas também, pelo consumo,cada vez maior de produtos dessas culturas, o que ficou mais visível durante o ano de 2008 em que se comemorou o Centenário da Imigração Japonesa. Já se fala muito em animes e mangás e como eles atraem os jovens; só que existem outras manifestações culturais que são incorporadas pelos brasileiros e que não recebem destaque, como é o caso da música. -

Synopsis Originally aired as Immortal Songs 2 as part of KBS Saturday Freedom, each episode had six idol singers who performed the singer's songs of the episode. After restructuring in 2012, the show returned on April 7 as an independent program and renamed Immortal Songs: Singing the Legend. Each episode now includes seven singers or bands from different walks of life and annual experiences ranging from members of popular idol K-pop bands to legendary solo artists. As before, each of them performs their own reimagined versions of the famous songs of the legendary singer of the episode. The new format features special episodes that revolve around specific topics, such as festivities or festivities. Invited singers sit in the waiting room with three hosts, where they meet the audience. -
