Rugosity or Puckering: The rough, wrinkled Leaf appearance of a leaf that failed to fully extend during leaf expansion. Red oaks with puckered leaves due to thrips feeding. Sand-blasting: Random trails of fine, whitish Leaf or silvery speckling caused by insect mouthparts superficially scraping plant leaf surfaces.
