Chances of Rap being All We Got

We all are born in different circumstances to deal with in our life. These circumstances can depend on in some countries the class you’re born into, the city you grew up in, or just challenges in life that pop up. With some people they have ways to coop with the stress, violence around their town, parents getting divorced, etc. In some instances they are able to jump out of their class system, even make out of the horrific terror that surrounds them. In ’s song All We Got, with featured on it his idol , he speaks the troubles he faced being an inner city kid from

Chicago. While everything around him was a distraction music made it able for him not only better himself but for his family as well.

Chance is an up and coming rapper from Chicago. Even though now most people wouldn’t consider him still on the come up, but with only a few mix tapes and one album he is still relatively new to the music world. Chance is not the typical rapper because he raps a lot of not only his family but also his spiritual connection with God. A lot of songs of deeper meaning than most other artist’s songs have. The slow steady beat mixed in with the bass and his dramatic emphasis or slow down on phrases make him a fantastic artist to listen to. Even if you are not a big rap fan! He is not the typical rapper that sounds hard or like he’s in a gang he has a nice smooth voice that helps in rely his message. That is why I picked All We Got as my song to analyze. The mixture of him not Pipes 2 only the beat but also the specific words to describe the story he wants the listeners to interpret is magnificent.

The way chance can make his listeners picture the stories in his song is incredible.

In this song he puts a strong emphasis on his relationship with his family and spiritually speaking God. These were the man things that got him through the rainy days of his life.

Not only that but his love for music helped him propel his life even further. Plenty of people doubted him when he was young about being a musician which is why music at times was literally the only thing he had at times. With this difficult times in his life’s he always reverts to his family, which is also a major importance in his life. During the beginning of the song he state, “Tryna turn my baby mama to my fiancée… man my daughter couldn’t have a better mother.” Chance is explaining the importance his family is to him. The girl he is dating as of write now he wants her to be in his life till the end with him and his daughter. Throughout the song especially in the beginning the stress his baby daughter and significant other is astounding.

Most musical Compositions use different series of beats, with dramatic pauses or emphasis of words to help clearly express their views. Chance does use a series of drums mixed with the bass to input the flow of the song. He also uses his voice extremely well!

With the loud emphasis put on works or his soft-spoken speech slurred real slow to help the listener feel his emotion. Chance ends his hook with a loud, “ Bom bom bom bom bom.” This is where the music is its loudest Chance and Kanye sing this part with great volume. Then Chance ends it in a monotone, “ Music all we got, got, got. So we might as well give it all we got.” The slow, soft tone he puts on this part almost makes him sound sad. So we as listeners know that music is literally all that he has in his. While, also Pipes 3 things mentioned in his lyrics are meaningful to him and will always have a place in his heart.

Finally, Chance has been very inspirational to his followers. With the things that’s happened in my life All We Got is the most inspirational song he has produced. The message produced provides you with that everyone has something in their life that is all they may have. Him coming from a low-income area he is able to connect with most of the world that has to deal with similar situations he had in his life. It is his message is so relatable to millions of us, therefore making him very inspirational artist.
