All rights reserved MANDALIKA |West Nusa Tenggara Province SPECIAL ECONOMIC ZONES DESTINATION PROFILE MANDALIKA - SEZ Location Province : Lombok Regency : Central Lombok Mandalika Development Area Mandalika Facts Total Area : ± 2000 Ha Total SEZ Area : 1.035,67 Ha (Total Developer Owned Area) • The only conservation area in Indonesia which has a total of Accesiblity 5,250 hectares of ocean sand. Lombok International Airport (40 minutes to Mandalika) • Mandalika has appointed as the Best Halal Destination and The Best Honeymoon Destination in the World Halal Travel Award Accomodation 2015. 884 hotels (Regional Statistics, 2014) • Mandalika directly exposed to the Atlantic Sea. Mandalika has Kuta Beach (like in Bali) as well as soft and white sandy beach of Tanjung Aan, white sandy beaches in the bay area with the longest coastline. • Special Economic Zones (SEZ) Mandalika proposed by PT Indonesia Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) has been established by Government Regulation No. 52 of 2014 on June 30, 2014. • Development of the SEZ Mandalika focused on the main activities of Tourism. Mandalika KEK is currently in the construction phase I. • 1035.67 ha of land acquisition has been completed and physical development that has been done is the construction of roads in the area along the 4 Km. • The government needs support to extend Lombok International Airport runway, revitalize Harbour Shee, as well as to provide Clean Water Network Management Area in Kuta Area. In 2016, there are two hotels that has been built from 2016; the Pullman Hotel and Hotel Clumbmed. MANDALIKA SEZ - SUPPORTING INFRASTRUCTURE Road Road development to Tanjung Aan with length of 4 km and width of 90 m. Development and broadening road of province from Lombok international airport to district Mandalika as far as 20 km. Airport Expansion runaway Lombok International Airport through the length of 250 meters. Currently several airlines are offering attractive connections with daily flights to Lombok from: 1. Current need of water supply requires KMPL 200 liters per second. Also will built a water reservoir construction distribution, of 5000 m3, below the pump house capacity of 100 l/d. The Wakatobi National Park is one of 50 National Parks in Indonesia, which is located in the Regency of Wakatobi, Southeast Sulawesi. • It crowned as National Park in 1996 and has a total area of 1,39 million hectares. It possesses a marine biodiversity with a scale and condition that ranks it as one of the highest priorities in marine conservation in Indonesia. The depth of waters in this national park varies, with the deepest part reaching 1,044 meters below sea level. The Wakatobi National Park features Coral Reefs; Fishes; Other animals; specificity; and Hoga Island. • Wakatobi has been designated in the World Network of Biosphere Reserves by the Man and the Biosphere Programme of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) on 11 July 2012. The world’s major ecosystem types and landscapes represented in this Network are devoted to conserving biological diversity, promoting research and monitoring, as well as seeking to provide models of sustainable development in the service of humankind. WAKATOBI – ACCESIBILITIES & INFRASTRUCTURE Accessibilities Wakatobi Regency is relatively easy to reach by both domestic and international tourist. The main entry is from Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport located in Makassar City, and tourists may continue to travel by plane to the Matahora Airport to reach the Wakatobi Regency. Transportation The main transportation in Wakatobi Regency is by air and sea. There are Matahora Airport and several seaports as the main infrastructure for transportation.
