H. E. Benjamin Mkapa died on 24th July 2020 after a short illness at a hos- pital in Dar-es-Salaam where he was receiving treatment at the age of 81 years. His Excellency Mkapa was born on November 12, 1938. He served as the 3rd President of the United Republic of for a decade from 1995 to 2005.
