Panoramaland Dance Championships Director’s packet Website: www.americaonstage.org | e-mail: [email protected] | Phone (801) 224-8334 We're just a few days from the Panoramaland Dance Championships in Richfield! We are excited to show you all the fun and exciting things that are planned. In addition to a great competition, there will be activities for everyone! This year, there are MANY changes. Read ahead and make sure you know everything you need to know about so many changes this year. It’s going to be awesome. Directors! We are so excited to get you and your dancers back on stage. A few notes: Our first priority is to your dancers and to you. Getting you all back on stage. Safely, happily, and with the best experience we can give everyone. With that in mind, we have several things to do to make sure we can get everyone on stage, including spaced out studio blocks, awards done in studio times, spread out schedules, mask requirements when not on stage, and limits on the number of people who can gather inside facilities as well as audience limitations. We appreciate your understanding in all these things. Doing them means we get to dance on stage. And that's the most important thing to us all. Now, let's get ready to rock those stages. COVID - 19 Adjustments We're going to dance! We're going to DANCE!!! We're so excited! After the year of 2020 in which so many things prevented us from dancing, we're going to make it work. And we're going to do all we can to make it safe, awesome, and working for everyone. Here's how: STUDIO BLOCKS To make sure each studio dances in as safe an envoronment as possible, we are going to dance in STUDIO BLOCKS. Studios will come at the time appointed, dance all their teams, individuals, duos/trios and we will awards all dancers before their block ends. Local Clogging teams will dance on Thursday, others on Friday and Dance will compete on Saturday. The final schedule comes out on February 24th. Watch it. You can see the Studio's schedule in this packet. AWARDS All entries will be scored and the results will be posted on the app and posting wall. Dancers will get their awards at the awards table as COVID dictates that we won't be able to have everyone around to have a large Queen ceremony on stage announce on stage (And we are dancing for 3 solid days so when would we do it - Saturday evening for 3 hours...! :-) ). We'll update how we do awards as we get closer. All Team awards will also be posted or announced if time allows. DANCE ADVANCED LEVEL All ADVANCED Queen, King, and Standard Solos/Duos/Trios will be scored and the results will not be posted or announced until all Advanced is complete Saturday evening. We will announce these awards and you can see them in person or online as we will livestream the awards. All dancers will pick up their trophy right after they dance and the tiaras and sashes for 1st place and overall awards will be picked up at the end of Saturday. When Advanced is complete, we will post all the advanced awards online as well as announce it online too!. All Advanced teams will also be posted and announced when advanced is completed. We'll ask to have someone come back Saturday night to pick up awards for the studio's advanced awards, or you can come back. (see below)! More info as we get closer too. Clogging Professional level All PRO entries will be scored and the results will not be posted or announced until all Pro is complete Saturday evening. We will announce these awards and you can see them in person or online as we will livestream the awards. When Pro is complete, we will post all the Pro awards online as well as announce it online too!. All Pro teams will also be posted and announced when Pro is completed. We'll ask to have someone come back Friday night to pick up awards for the studio's Pro awards, or you can come back. (see below)! More info as we get closer too. OVERALL AWARDS Once the competition is over and the dance off is complete, we ask a person from each studio (Director, etc) to come back and pick up any Overall awards! We will announce all the Overall awards on our facebook page as a live broadcast. You and your dancers can watch it online and the person who comes will pick up any awards you receive. This person will also pick up the advanced awards for solos/duos/trios. AUDIENCE Each facility dictates if we are allowed audience and how many. We will keep you updated and the latest allowances. With all the studio blocks, we are going to do some exciting things to make each event special. You'll see when you come! As of now, Idaho’s helath dept is going to allow ONE parent per dancer in to watch until we hit a limit of the amount of spectacors who can enter. Again, we will update you on this as we get closer if it changes. MASKS As required by each state and the facility, we will follow all guidelines. As planned now, all dancers, directors, teachers, and audience must wear masks at all times unless dancing on the stage. Once dancers enter stage, they can dance without their masks. Masks will be required once off stage. We will update this as we get closer as each facility dictates. END OF DAY PICK UP Score Sheets can be picked up as soon as your block is done. Dancers should pick up their medals and pins as well when completed. At the conclusion of the event, we will ask a person (director) to return and pick up any overal wards. SCHEDULE Take a look at the schedule in this packet. It's broken up so that each studio has a block of time for ALL of their entries. This ensures that we can dance without having too many people in a large group gathering. For Dance Studios: You can set the order you want. We suggest dancing all the lower level solos/duos/trios and then all your teams. This allows them all to change. However, you can also dance all your lower levels and hvae them leave and then proceed into your advanced level. We'll let you pick your order. When each Solo/Duo/Trio is done, they can get their awar d at the awards table immediately! No time to wait. There is no large awards ceremony this year due to COVID's restrictions. All team awards will be picked up by the director. Then you can go and enjoy your day. It's actually a compact way of doing events. Then of course, we will watch the awards livestream at the end to see who wins our overall awards! For Clogging Studios: We will dance all individuals in the lower levels then all the teams the all individuals in the upper levels. We appreciate that everyone works so hard to make these scheduled times work. It would be great if everyone could dance at the exact time it works best in their schedule. But we simply do our best. If you can make it work, we appreciate it! The domino effect it causes moving things around is very difficult. If you have problems, Email us at [email protected]. FRIDAY, SATURDAY With all the facility changes and concerns, we are going to need to use TWO FULL days! We will space studios out with the needed new time for social distancing. Take alook at the enclosed scheduleto see when you are scheduled. Registration Closed! We are as very full of registration and SO excited. It is closed to any more studios registering online. If you need any changes or additions, please Email us at [email protected] and we'll get it all entered. But we need to know right away. An already registered studio can add entries, but we need to know immediately so we can plan for it. Studio Order As we get closer, we will send you your registration and let you decide the order you want your teams, solos, duos and trips to dance. We will send you a suggested order, and we ask you to reply to us with the order you want. We will get it in the program and post it online for all to see. Any additional information, changes, and requirements, we will E-mail out. Contact us with any questions. See you soon. Let's dance!
