[email protected] or Tel: (0049) 173 398 4209 BIG HILL KING COURSE - Location: The Big Hill King will be held at Frizbee.at – Disc Golf Allgäu, in Ofterschwang, Bavaria, Germany. The course is located on beautiful mountain grazing pastures and in alpine forest directly below the Allgäuer Berghof Hotel, situated at 1200m on a ridge overlooking the Iller valley and the Allgäuer Alps. GPS: 47.507710 / 10.222800. TOURNAMENT Tournament Standards The Big Hill King will be played according to PDGA Europe XB-Tier standards. The tournament is limited to 72 players. Entry Fees includes Players Pack from Prodigy, Lunch on Saturday and €3 Ace Pool. They also cover green fees, PDGA fees, some trophies and toilets. • Pros: (MPO, FPO, MP40, MP50) 65 € • Amateurs: (MA1, FA1) 55 € • Juniors: (MJ18) 35 € Payment is by Paypal or credit card via the Registration Platform on Disc Golf Scene. Withdrawal and Refunds Should a player have to withdraw participation from the tournament, we shall refund that player with the following conditions, depending on the date of cancellation: • cancellation before 26th April: 75% refund • cancellation before 28th June: 50% refund • cancellations after the 28th June will not be refunded. Basic Format (see SCHEDULE) Friday 5th July – Practise Rounds and Fun Doubles with the Pros. PLAYER´S MEETING. Saturday 6th July - 2 rounds of 18 holes for all players with Lunch break inbetween. CHILL N´GRILL PARTY. Sunday 7th May - 3rd Round followed by Prize-Giving. AFTER-PARTY & distance throws from Tee 4 to Hole 7. Prize Money Prize money for Pro divisions is approx. €2.000. The top 33% in each professional division will receive prize money. Top Amateur and Junior players will receive goods and/or trophies. Prizes Pro Divisions - Trophy for 1st, Medaillons for 1st, 2nd and 3rd, & cash payout to 33% of field Amateur Divisions - Trophy for 1st & merchandise for top 3 of divisions Amateur spot prizes (CTP, Long Drive) Ace Pool & CTP The Ace Pool is included in the entry fee. It covers all 3 rounds. Should more than one Ace be thrown during the tournament rounds, the Ace Pool will be divided evenly between those players. Should no ace be recorded during the tournament, the Ace Pool will be added to the total prize money. CTP is only applicable for Amateur and Junior players and will be played on all 3 Rounds. Tape Measure and Pen will be placed at the relevant baskets prior to the round: Round 1 – Hole 5, Round 2 – Hole 16, Round 3 – Hole 4. Ties Any ties for the last admissible spot in the 3rd round for each division will be broken right before the start of the round, by way of playing Sudden Death. Any ties for a divisional first place will be broken right after the final round, by way of playing Sudden Death. Results Round scores will be displayed at the „Caddyshack“ (Tournament Office) and loaded.to the PDGA tournament website: https://www.pdga.com/tour/event/38647 Food & Beverages Lunch on Saturday is included in the Entry Fee. Ensure that you choose from the options provided on the registration platform (Disc Golf Scene). We shall provide snacks on Friday and Sunday at fair prices. Coffee and Cake will be available at the Players Meeting and on Sunday after the final round at no cost, thanks to our Partner, the Allgäuer Berghof Hotel. Drinking water will be available from cannisters around the course. Other cold drinks are on sale from the Caddyshack at reasonable prices. REGISTRATION Please read through ALL Registration Informations carefully. Players must register online from the 12th April 2019 via: https://www.discgolfscene.com/tournaments/BIG_Hill_King_2019 Upon registering, eligible players confirm that they possess liability insurance covering all the risks of disc golf and that at any stage from start to finish of the BIG Hill King tournament and during side events the tournament organiser, Paul Davies of Frizbee.at - Disc Golf Allgäu, will not be held responsible in case of a third party liability claim. Non-current or non-PDGA members will only be allowed to compete upon payment of a $10 fee in lieu of membership. (Non-PDGA-members may register during the registration period, but must confirm their PDGA membership by E-Mail to the TD before the 28th June to be allowed to play. PayPal and DiscGolfScene.com each charge small fees per registration. Most tournaments choose to pass the handling fees on to the registrants, which means the tournament collects exactly the amount of entry fees. Players who have to cancel their Registration for any reason, or have problems with the registration platform should do so per E:Mail to the TD: Paul Davies – [email protected] or Mobile Phone: (0049) 173 398 4209 Divisions Only the following Divisions may participate: Professionals: Men Pro Open (MPO) 26 spots Women Pro Open (FPO) 8 spots Pro Masters (MP40) 10 spots Pro Grandmasters (MP50) 8 spots Amateurs: Juniors (MJ18) 6 spots Men Advanced Amateurs (MA1) 8 spots Women Advanced Amateurs (FA1) 6 spots Eligibility for Divisions Professional and amateur players may play in a professional division in so far as they meet the specific age and gender requirements: Men Pro Open (MPO): no limitations. Female Pro Open (FPO): no limitations. Men Pro Masters (MP40): Born 6th July 1979 or earlier. Men Pro Grandmasters (MP50): Born 6th July 1969 or earlier. Juniors (MJ18): Born 6th July, 2001 or later. Men Amateurs (MA1): Not received cash at a PDGA event during the 12 months before 6th July 2019. Women Amateurs (FA1): Not received cash at a PDGA event during the 12 months before 6th July 2019. Note: Professional players are allowed to enter an amateur division if they obtain a reclassification to amateur status by their PDGA country representative. Reserved Spots 10 spots are reserved until 10th May 2019 for Women. After this date, any reserved spots which have not been taken will be assigned to waiting list players in other divisions on a first come, first serve basis. Wildcards Between 11th - 24th May 2019, up to 12 spots are being given to waiting list players by the Tournament Director as he sees fit. Payment for any assigned wildcards must be paid before 30th May 2019. Any wildcards not assigned will be re-assigned to waiting list players on a first come, first serve basis. Waiting List As soon as registration opens, all players may register, but only those meeting the rating requirements for the current stage will be allocated a starting spot. Registration Deadline The deadline (last day) for registration is 27th June 2019. After this date you must contact the Tournament Director for inquiries about a possible late registration. Should you be allocated a spot, you must pay an additional late registration fee of 10 Euro on top of the normal division entry fee. Registration Process Spots are reserved exclusively by submitting via the online registration platform. Spots in all divisions and stages will be assigned according to registration and payment order. Registration will be done in stages. Your PDGA rating (using the last rating update before 12th April 2019) will decide from what date onward you can register. STAGE 1 STAGE 2 STAGE 3 starting 12th April starting 26th April starting 10th May MPO 975 plus 940 plus all FPO 900 plus 825 plus all MP40 950 plus 900 plus all MP50 925 plus 875 plus all MJ1 925 plus 875 plus all MA1 900 plus 850 plus all FA1 825 plus n/a all Registration Conditions Stage 1 = Registration Weeks 1 & 2 (12th - 25th April 2019). Only Stage 1 players who qualify for Stage 1 in the table above may register. Payments for all players registering during Stage 1 must be received by the TD before the end of Stage 1. Any registering players whose payment is not received by the end of Stage 1 will be removed from the list of registered players. Should the event be filled before the end of Stage 1 all players registering after this time will be put on a waiting list in the order in which they registered and need not pay their entry fees. Stage 2 = Registration Weeks 3 & 4. (26th April - 9th May 2019) Only Stage 2 players who qualify for Stage 2 in the table above may register. Payments for all players registering during Stage 2 must be received by the TD before the end of Stage 2.
