Angelology Angelology
Christian Angelology Angelology Introduction Why study Angels? They teach us about God As part of God’s creation, to study them is to study why God created the way he did. In looking at angels we can see God’s designs for his creation, which tells us something about God himself. They teach us about ourselves We share many similar qualities to the angels. We also have several differences due to them being spiritual beings. In looking at these similarities and differences we can learn more about the ways God created humanity. In looking at angels we can avoid “angelic fallacies” which attempt to turn men into angels. They are fascinating! Humans tend to be drawn to the supernatural. Spiritual beings such as angels hit something inside of us that desires to “return to Eden” in the sense of wanting to reconnect ourselves to the spiritual world. They are different, and different is interesting to us. Fr. J. Jak ji ale mělo napadnout, že součástí její cesty bude něco tak neuvěřitelného? O tom, že uvidí křísit mrtvé, zastřelené a navíc spálené děti, se dozvěděla až tady. »To chtělo videokameru,« postěžovala si Pepkovi. -

The heavenly host and our modern life The angelic host Angels and demons Guardian Angel Feast of St. Archangel Michael The Rational Heavenly Powers The heavenly host and our modern life On ovember "#$% the Orthodox 'hurch celebrates the feast of the holy Archangel Michael and the entire Heavenly Host. This celebration has great significance not only for Orthodox 'hristians( !ut for all of mankind. How is that* First of all, this celebration teaches us how to view correctly the question of equality and inequality. Man)ind( es,ecially from the beginning of the 20th century( is fervently searching for a certain equality which supposedly may !e established on earth. Russia has become the primary victim of this idea, followed by other countries. The ,romised equality has never been established, of course, but traditional forms of government have !een destroyed. Orthodo& monarchy( which was the last mighty bulwark of universal Orthodoxy( was destroyed in Russia, and countless victims were sacrificed on the bloody altar of imaginary equality. Archangel Michael, Synaxis of the holy Angels. Archangel Gabriel, 15th century. 15th century. Moscow school. 15th century. How does this tie in with the feast of the Heavenly Host* .ery directly. /f mankind were less attracted to transient earthly ideas( !ut instead( gazed upward more often, it would notice that even in heaven, among the holy angels( there does not exist the senseless equality over which the godless rave so madly. /n the world of the angels( as everywhere in God1s creation, there e&ists a definite hierarchy established by God. This hierarchical subordination and this blessed inequality cement the entire structure. -
Share Prayer Was Given to Me Several Decades Ago by a Friend in the Old City of Jerusalem
Angels are messengers created and sent to us by God. They are like the laws of nature. They do not have free will as we do. Each angel has a specific task, often related to its name. The unique list of names of angels used in this share prayer was given to me several decades ago by a friend in the Old City of Jerusalem. He told me these are the names of angels mentioned in biblical literature. He was a scholar and a family man but subsequently fell from grace, becoming an addict and a beggar. The purpose and goal of this prayer is to end addiction, dishonesty, hunger, ignorance, illness, poverty and war – and to elevate mankind with awareness, connection, happiness, justice, morality, peace and tolerance. By Joshua Persky Let the Angels Loose (A Share Prayer) A Abir, demonstrate your might! Abirim, provide food, clothing, shelter and fuel for the poor! Achel, fix the world! Achiel, support the downtrodden! Achniel, teach my children tolerance! Adadiah, reveal the eternal! Adamoel, open the gates of paradise! Adeliel, sing celestial songs! Adiel, adorn my children with jewels! Adoel, reveal the potential of the universe! Adoniel, demonstrate I am the ruler of monarchs, presidents and prime ministers! Adramelech, save my children from fire! Adranel, demonstrate my majesty over all! Adriel, show mankind my splendor! Adrigon, renew my covenant with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, all the children of Israel and all humanity! Agariel, lift them to new heights! Agiel, help them distinguish between good and evil! His father was an engineering officer and died a long time ago. Sixteen years ago, Mikhael lost his memory in an accident. Before that he was a veterinarian, often went to Moscow. After the accident, he started working as a frame-saw operator at the timber plant. Mikhael is quite happy with his life until a woman who introduced herself as Maria appeares. She says that before the accident, she and Mikhael were having an affair. Mikhael wants to know the details, but doesn’t have time to. Maria leaves Archangelsk for Moscow. Mikhael gets off his balance. He tells his family that he has to find out who he was before the accident and leaves to discover the truth. He visits the Veterinary Institute where he studied. The Institute staff provides Michael with the contacts of his former teacher, and Michael arranges for a meeting. However, on the way to the meeting a motorcyclist wearing a helmet shoots Micheal several times with a gun. Micheal loses consciousness. Raphael lives in St. Petersburg. His parents died. He is married to Irina, a psychologist, and dreams of starting his own practice as well. Twelve years ago, Raphael was found on the ice of the Pryazhka River. He did not remember anything that had happened before. Raphael is quite happy in his new life. Irina became a friend, helper and role model for him. -

Higher ranks may be asserted to have greater power or authority over lower ranks, and with different ranks having differences in appearance, such as varying numbers of wings or faces. Abrahamic faiths The Assumption of the Virgin by Francesco Botticini at the National Gallery The Jewish angelic hierarchy is established London, shows three hierarchies and nine orders of angels, each with different in the Hebrew Bible, Talmud, Rabbinic characteristics. literature, and traditional Jewish liturgy. They are categorized in different hierarchies proposed by various theologians. For example, Maimonides, in his Mishneh Torah or Yad ha-Chazakah: Yesodei ha-Torah, counts ten ranks of angels. The most influential Christian angelic hierarchy was that put forward by Pseudo-Dionysius the Areopagite in the 4th or 5th century in his book De Coelesti Hierarchia (On the Celestial Hierarchy).
