DANVERS - It’s with sadness we announce the WINFIELD - Daniel E. Keck (64), died on passing of Danvers Community Fire Protection December 10, 2014, at Central DuPage District Firefighter Noah Moore (32) after Hospital in Winfield, Illinois. He was born a yearlong battle with cancer. Noah passed March 23, 1950 in Greenville, PA. Keck was a November 12, 2014. He was a volunteer Fireman retired Lieutenant and EMT for the Winfield for Danvers Fire Department for the last four Fire Protection District where he served for years and made a huge impact while he was 30 years. He was an elected member of the there. He was also active on the Color Guard Winfield Fire Protection District Board of for the Department. Noah was a Senior Technician for Illinois Trustees where he served as Treasurer and also as Treasurer of Eye Bank for 5 years. He was an avid outdoorsman, especially the District’s Pension fund. He served on the executive board enjoying hunting, fishing and camping. In his younger years of DuComm. He was also the first President of the DuPage he received Eagle Scout status in Missouri and later served as Fire District Trustee Association. Dan was an active father and Troop leader for Boy Scout Troop # 27 in Danvers. coached many sports for his children, an Eagle Scout and served as the Cub Master at Pack 575 in Winfield. He worked WEST PEORIA - Robert “Bob” with SCARCE, Willowbrook Wildlife Haven Foundation and the Joseph Stecher, 63, of West Peoria Youth Ministries at Gary Church as an Auctioneer/Fund Raiser. passed away on Sunday, Jan. 11, He was a member of the Kiwanis Club of Wheaton. 2015, at his home with his family by his side. Survived by wife of 42 years and his high school sweetheart, Carol Ann Bedell. The West Peoria Fire Department was an important part of Bob’s life. He joined the department in 1970, becoming an emergency medical technician and working his way up through the ranks. He was a firefighter, engineer, captain and assistant chief before becoming chief of the department in 1987. He became the longest serving chief in the history of the W.P.F.D., before retiring the position in 2012. That same year, he was granted Chief Emeritus status by the Illinois Fire Chiefs Association. He also began serving as a trustee for the West Peoria Fire Protection District, a position he held until his passing.

ORION - The trustees and members of the Orion Fire Protection District mourn the unexpected passing of their Board President Jerry E. Sheldon (57) who passed away on January 8th. 2015. Jerry joined the district as trustee in March of 1991 and served as President from May of 1993 until the present. Jerry will be sadly missed and often remembered for his many accomplishments while serving the District.

ST. JOSEPH – Rusty Chism, 50, of St. Joseph passed away Jan. 22, 2015 at Carle Foundation Judy Baar Topinka, served in the Illinois House Hospital, Urbana. Rusty was a division chief of Representatives, as a member of the Illinois with the Urbana Fire Department and also served as the chief of the St. Joseph-Stanton State Senate, Illinois State Treasurer and State Fire Protection District. He previously worked Comptroller. A true friend to the Illinois Fire as a paramedic and a flight medic for Carle. Service, her passion will be missed.
