The trail is operated and maintained by separate organizations such as the Schuylkill River Heritage Area and various counties. • Anyone aged 16 and over can rent a bike by providing ID. • Bike Share locations in Pottstown, Hamburg and Phoenixville. • Bikes must be returned to original location. Students and faculty from Penn State Berks, in collaboration with many individuals and organizations from Reading and Berks , have partnered to create a community park along a one mile segment of the Schuylkill River Trail. The Great American Cleanup is the first event in this community-wide effort. This project is sponsored by the Penn State Berks Center for Service Learning and Community-Based Research.
