Berks County is pursuing the purchase of right-of-way easements to develop a trail along the abandoned railroad line in Robeson and Union Townships, following a former rail bed operated by Hay Creek Wilmington and Northern railroad. While there are many sites either listed on or identified as being potentially listed on the National Historic Register, it is important that remaining resource clusters be identified and preserved as this will help the eligibility of those sites in the future.
