Plan panoramique sur le village de Patrimonio, écrasé de soleil. Paisible à l’heure de la sieste, en attendant la grand-messe du soir... EXTÉRIEUR NUIT. Plan large sur le Théâtre de Verdure, investi de milliers de spectateurs. Ce n’est pas du cinéma, mais la réalité des Nuits de la Guitare, qui drainent depuis plus de 20 ans tous les amoureux de la six-cordes. PLUS qu’un RASSEMBLEMENT MUSICAL, il s’agit de célébrer lors de la 24e édition le pari fou, mais réussi, de quelques passionnés qui se lancèrent dans l’aventure tumultueuse de la création d’un festival. Quand ils concoctent leur premier plateau, en 1989, Jean-Bernard Gilormini, Guy Maestracci et une poignée d’amis, tous guitaristes amateurs, n’imaginent pas que leur événement deviendra le rendez-vous privilégié des stars de la guitare. C’eST SUR LA PLACE DU VILLAGE DE PatrimoNIO, sous la voûte étoilée, durant les longues soirées d’été passées à jouer, que ces irréductibles rêvent à voix haute des Nuits de la Guitare. Au début, il n’est question que de trois soirées, on ne parle pas encore de réunion annuelle ou de futures éditions, mais d’emblée, les organisateurs voient grand : au côté des meilleurs musiciens insulaires, Babik Reinhardt, Roland Dyens et Raphaël Faÿs étrennent ce festival unique en son genre, dédié à la guitare. Puis, tout s’emballe : les spectateurs prennent d’assaut le Théâtre de Verdure, le succès du festival dépasse toutes les espérances. La seconde édition est dans les tuyaux, avec entre autres Marcel Dadi, Larry Coryel et Biréli Lagrène. Bluffés, les Corses commencent à évoquer la magie de Patrimonio... Comment ce village, juché à flanc de collines, a-t-il pu devenir le carrefour européen de la guitare ? Croiser Deep Purple à une terrasse de café ou tomber nez à nez avec Paco de Lucia au détour d’une ruelle, bordée de vignes, c’est là toute la magie du site. Longtemps, les stars locales s’appelaient Clos De Bernardi, Orenga de Gaffory, Clos Marfisi, les domaines viticoles qui longent la célèbre route des vins ; désormais, elles ont aussi pour nom George Benson, Joe Satriani, Al Di Meola, John Mc Laughlin, Vicente Amigo, Larry Carlton… Depuis plus de 20 ans, à Patrimonio, les odeurs du maquis, cet étrange mélange de fenouil et de poivre, se mêlent aux essences de palissandre. ALORS, NOTRE ENQUÊTE CORSE ? Un passionnant carnet de voyages, riche d’anecdotes, d’histoires loufoques, de concerts chocs. C’est Jeff Beck, qui depuis son premier passage en 2001, tente désespérément d’acheter une villa à quelques pas de l’église. C’est Biréli Lagrène, le manouche strasbourgeois devenu l’enfant du pays, ou encore Louis Bertignac, qui, programmé en 2008, tombe amoureux du village et prolonge son séjour de deux jours. A Patrimonio, les hommes s’accordent, les nuits s’arpègent et le temps s’étire autrement.     Marcus Miller | Afrodeezia Musiker-Ikonen gibt es wie Sand am Meer. Insbesondere gefühlte 1 Million Super-Mega-Hyper und Überstars aus der jüngsten U- Musik lassen sich finden. Kaum ein Newcomer, der nicht nach dem erstem Geräusch-Ausstoß als solcher gelisted ist. Erschreckend, was sich meine Kinder – eigentlich Jugendliche mit immensem Musikkonsum- alles so anhören und was ich davon verächtlich in die Plastikmüllkiste wegdrücke. Generationenproblem? Wahrscheinlich. Für Musikbesessene, wie ich es bin, gibt es aber zum Glück diese grandiosen musikalischen Rückzugsorte, ohne die mein Tag nicht auskommt. Also einmal mehr: Marcus Miller. Marcus Miller ist in erster Linie Musiker, Multiinstrumentalist, Komponist, Arrangeur und Produzent, einer der Einflußreichen bei Jazz, Fusion und vielseitiger populärer Musik. Darüber hinaus zählt er zu der Riege der stilprägenden Bassisten wie Stanley Clarke, Viktor Bailey† oder Billy Sheehan , die es fabulös geschafft haben, das Erbe von Ray Brown, Ron Carter, Charles Mingus und Jaco Pastorius (um nur einige zu nennen) in unsere modernen Zeiten zu übersetzen. Avantgarde? Aber sicher. Und immer gut zu hören, nie abgehoben. Marcus Miller war 21 Jahre alt, als man ihn als wichtigen Begleiter von Miles Davis erstmals wahrgenommen hat, das ist fast 40 Jahre und gute 20 Solo-Alben her. Seine Mitwirkungen an den Veröffentlichungen anderer Künstler sind Legion. Die nun vorgestellte CD Afrodeezia stammt bereits aus dem Jahre 2015 und ist wieder einmal etwas Besonderes vom Bassisten: „Was mir am meisten am Herzen lag“, sagt Miller, „war zu den Quellen der Rhythmen, die unser musikalisches Erbe so reich machen, zurückzugehen, ihnen wie Fußspuren zu folgen, von ihren Ursprüngen in Afrika den ganzen Weg bis in die USA.
