Maristella, O.S.F. was born in Creighton, Nebraska, September 1, 1916. She was graduated from Saint Ludger Academy, Creighton, Nebraska, June, 1933. In September of that same year. she entered Saint Joseph Convent, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The Bachelor of Philosophy degree with a major in English was conferred by Loyola University, August, 1943. From 1935 to 1944 the writer was engaged in teach ing in the elementary schools of Milwaukee and Chicago.
