Biographical summaries ofthe nominees follow: Marjorie Rendell is currently a judge on the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District ofPennsylvania. Prior to her appointment to the Di strict Court, Rendell practiced for over twenty -2 years with the Philadelphia law firm ofDuane, Morris & Heckscher, first as an assoclate and then a, a partner. As a member ofthe firm's Reorganization and Finance Section. Rendell engaged primarily in commercial and crcclitors1 rights litigation in both the federal and state courts. Rendell has worked extensively with various professional and conununity groups over the years, serving as a mediator for the U.S.
