The index is calculated based on six variables: geomorphology, coastal erosion, slope, changes in sea level, wave height and tidal range. Basically, the emphasis on methodological aspects is related to: (i) the use of GIS techniques to construct, interpolate, filter, and sample data for shoreline networks, (ii) physical vulnerability calculations using the CVI method approach, and (iii) values CVI is applied in vulnerability maps using the GIS program by providing CVI ratings to three levels, namely low, medium, and high. The results of this study indicate that the coastal physical vulnerability of the North East Aceh region is dominated by a moderate level of vulnerability of 83.61% with 51 sub-districts, and then a low vulnerability of 9.84% with 6 sub-districts, and a high vulnerability of 6.56% with 4 sub-districts out of a total of 61 Districts in 10 Regencies / Cities on the North-East coast of Aceh.

Pitana 3 Abstract Gebyog is a traditional Javanese house wall made of wood with a particular pattern. The shape of Javanese houses and gebyog develop over periods of culture and government until today. The shapes of gebyog are greatly influenced by various culture, such as Hindu, Buddhist, Islamic, and Chinese. The Hindu and Buddhist influences of are evident in the shapes of the ornaments and their meanings. The Chinese influence through Islamic culture developing in the archipelago is strong, mainly in terms of the gebyog patterns, wood construction techniques, ornaments, and coloring techniques. The nuance has been felt in the era of Majapahit, Demak, Mataram and at present. The use of ganja mayangkara in Javanese houses of the Majapahit era, the use of Chinese-style gunungan ornaments at the entrance to the Sunan Giri tomb, the saka guru construction technique of Demak mosque, the Kudusnese and Jeparanese gebyog motifs, and the shape of the gebyog patangaring of the house. Tanjung Pura, formerly was the capital of Malay Sultanate of Langkat, had various cultural heritages of Malay Sultanate and Dutch colonial. The diversity of cultural heritage objects in Tanjung Pura such as the historical buildings possess great potential as tourism assets in Tanjung Pura. Therefore, the conservation efforts are very much needed to avoid the old town Tanjung Pura from becoming only as a history. The special target of this research is the conservation of the region in Tanjung Pura as an architectural and cultural tourism asset. The results of the research are the design concept, conservation concept, design of the area, and documentation (such as photos and pictures of the historical buildings) using a design program. The result of the measurements and sketches in the area obtained using the design program, analysis and design concepts for the area will be used as a tourist object attraction. The implementation of Islamic Shariah is not something new in Indonesia, especially in Aceh which has a long history of the entry of Islam and the application of its Shariah in Aceh. In 2001, when the regional autonomy was rolled out in all regions of Indonesia, Aceh has issued Law no. 18 of 2001 on the Status of Special Autonomy for Aceh Province by declaring the implementation of Shariah in Aceh. Moreover, through this law gave birth to another organic regulation that regulates Islamic Shariah in the operational level in Aceh called qanun. Implementation of qonun is also applied to those who live in the region of Aceh whether it is the majority of Muslims and religious minorities who are non-Islam. In order to achieve the expected results more focused, the authors use qualitative methods with the historical and sociological approach. In order for the sample of the population to be less extensive, the author narrows the area to be studied in the city of Lhokseumawe from enforcement as well as the implementation of the Shariah (qonun) regulation for the Acehnese people of Islamic nuance, and also measures how effective a law is applied to non-Muslims as a minority community in the province of Aceh against the implementation of the Islamic Shariah law.     Marjaana Jauhola Marjaana craps of Hope in Banda Aceh examines the rebuilding of the city Marjaana Jauhola of Banda Aceh in Indonesia in the aftermath of the celebrated SHelsinki-based peace mediation process, thirty years of armed conflict, and the tsunami. Offering a critical contribution to the study of post-conflict politics, the book includes 14 documentary videos Scraps of Hope reflecting individuals’ experiences on rebuilding the city and following the everyday lives of people in Banda Aceh. Scraps of Hope in Banda Aceh Banda in Hope of Scraps in Banda Aceh Marjaana Jauhola mirrors the peace-making process from the perspective of the ‘outcast’ and invisible, challenging the selective narrative and ideals of the peace as a success story. Jauhola provides Gendered Urban Politics alternative ways to reflect the peace dialogue using ethnographic and in the Aceh Peace Process film documentarist storytelling. Scraps of Hope in Banda Aceh tells a story of layered exiles and displacement, revealing hidden narratives of violence and grief while exposing struggles over gendered expectations of being good and respectable women and men. It brings to light the multiple ways of arranging lives and forming caring relationships outside the normative notions of nuclear family and home, and offers insights into the relations of power and violence that are embedded in the peace. Marjaana Jauhola is senior lecturer and head of discipline of Global Development Studies at the University of Helsinki. Her research focuses on co-creative research methodologies, urban and visual ethnography with an eye on feminisms, as well as global politics of conflict and disaster recovery in South and Southeast Asia.
