CMA enjoyed tremendous support from an extraordinary kicked-off the Museum’s Art, Design, and Antiques corps of volunteers and Auxiliary groups. Volunteers, Market. Additional Ohio trips were made to Cleveland including the board of trustees, performed countless to view the Paul Gauguin exhibition in the Cleveland services and managed dozens of fundraising events. Art netWork Art netWork had a busy year with organizing its annual fundraising event, ArtFUSION. The event again was formed as a subset of Art Celebration for young professionals and was a tremendous success. Art netWork also focused on the growth of the group and providing more activities and benefits for its members. This was done through the expansion of its marketing on the museum website, creating marketing materials for new members, tightening up messaging to those interested in the group, and more.

Beaux Arts The men and women of the Beaux Arts Auxiliary hosted their fourteenth annual Art in Bloom fundraiser featuring more than forty designers interpreting the Museum masterpieces in live floral arrangements for CMA members and the public to enjoy over a four day period. Events surrounding the floral installations included an Opening Night Gala and four Garden Talks Nannette V. Maciejunes led the Art Escapes Director’s trip to Egypt. and Teas featuring noted horticulturists and floral Art Escapes designers as speakers. The kick-off event was a fashion Art Escapes planned and escorted CMA members and show at Polaris Fashion Place, Saks Fifth Avenue guests on local, regional, and national trips, which dedicated to the memory of Charles Kleibacker. The Garden Club of the CMA The Garden Club hosted five Music in Our Garden summer concerts that celebrated the rich ethnic diversity that has evolved in Columbus. Russian, Hispanic, Japanese, Italian, and Croatian musicians performed music indigenous to their ethnic roots. The Garden Club sponsored a free lecture to CMA members by Professor Vonderahe who talked about gardening in small spaces, provided seasonal care and maintenance of the garden, and planned horticultural outings and social events/educational events for their members that included a visit to the OSU Chadwick Arboretum and the annual Garden-Get- a-Way to the spectacular Schnormeier home and gardens in Gambier, Ohio.

On Call/Special Project Volunteers Individuals who choose to not be affiliated with an auxiliary assist the Museum with programs and events, including volunteering at the Columbus Arts Festival and the Museum’s Art Celebration, archiving records, assisting in various Museum departments, and helping auxiliaries with their fundraisers.

Women’s Board Sessions Society The Women’s Board of the Columbus Museum of Art To fulfill their mission of encouraging in-depth exploration again proudly presented their alternate-year fundraising of the arts, Sessions Society continues to provide their project, Chef Showdown-The Art of the Meal. The event members with monthly soirees in collectors’ homes, featured four chefs in competition for the evening’s top artists’ studios, and art galleries. In addition the society culinary award. Art Celebration and ArtFUSION ArtFUSION, an energetic and exciting cocktail party The Joint was Jumpin’ at the 2010 Art Celebration and tailored to young professionals. Art, Design & Antiques Market An ad hoc advisory board of twenty-five volunteers introduced the first annual Art, Design, & Antiques Market on September 22–26. Twenty-eight national dealers offering furniture, decorative arts, clothing, jewelry, rugs, and so forth were housed in the Museum’s beautiful Ross Wing exhibition area. Surrounding events included an opening night gala, tours of historic and antique collectors’ homes, a vintage fashion show, an antique car show, an appraisal clinic, speed design demonstrations, shop the show tours, and key note speaker John Frassanito from NASA.
