It is a low-cost carrier, owned by Wadia Group. The airline company has 9% market share in the Indian domestic carrier market. GoAir started its operations back in 2005 with the first flight being operated on Mumbai - Ahmedabad sector on 4 - November - 2005. The airline was one of the first in India to operate the Airbus A320 aircraft in an all economy setup. Initially GoAir operated just a single aircraft and was able to cover four destinations across India. As of January 2019, GoAir owned a fleet of 48 Airbus A320 aircrafts with 114 more on order. The airline operates 230+ daily flights which are spread across 26 destinations (24 domestic and 2 international). This paper is an operations review of the airlines. Textile is one of India’s oldest industries and has a formidable presence in the national economy. The textile industry occupies a unique place in our country. One of the earliest to come into existence in India, it accounts for 14% of the total Industrial production, contributes to nearly 27% of the total exports and is the second largest employment generator after agriculture. Like other organizations, all textile companies keep various assets such as inventory, debtors, fixed assets, investments etc. to carry out the business operations effectively and efficiently. However, managing these assets effectively is a crucial thing. Asset Management Ratios attempt to measure the firm's success in managing its assets to generate sales. These ratios can provide insight into the success of the firm's credit policy and inventory management. These ratios are also known as Activity or Turnover Ratios. This paper represents an empirical study which examines the assets management in textile companies in India with a data of 5 years. For the purpose of the study secondary data is used. For the purpose of analysis ratios and arithmetic mean have been used and to test hypothesis, ANOVA test (F test) has been applied. The assigned ratings factor in BIL’s established market position in the Indian biscuits industry with presence across various product categories and strong brands which has helped the company improve its market share steadily over the last few years. The ratings also consider BIL’s strong last-mile distribution network and its healthy financial profile characterized by strong cash and investment balances, robust debt protection metrics and minimal working capital intensity. ICRA has also taken note of the company’s focus on diversification and innovation reflecting in its foray into multiple new categories and premiumization efforts which are expected to support the company’s long-term business prospects. BIL witnessed volume growth of ~21% and revenue growth of ~27% during Q1 FY2021 supported by the spike in “in-home” consumption during the nationwide lockdown following the Covid-19 outbreak in India. The governments around the world have taken “unprecedented” measures to shut down their economies by closing stores and ordering citizens to shelter-in-place in order to combat the pandemic. Undoubtedly it has had a devastating impact on markets and economies, and driven unemployment rates through the roof. In the midst of fighting the worst health crisis the world has seen in 100 years, central banks, fiscal authorities, and international organisations mobilised to take extraordinary steps to respond to the market distress. The novel coronavirus pandemic has put us all through a situation—which has risen for the first time in the recent history of the planet—that triggered the largest industrial shutdown since the World War II. From factories being shuttered to airlines being grounded and borders sealed. It is for the very first time that Oil producers are paying suppliers to take excess oil due to lack of storage capacity. It can be called the ‘Great Lockdown’ recession and is the worst since the SHILPA GUPTA Great Depression of the 1930s, where the developed countries are likely to post DIRECTOR, WBR Corp a negative growth rate of around 6 per cent. It has been estimated by the World Food Programme (WFP) that around 265 million people in low- and middle- income countries could face starvation by the end of 2020. In the 21st century, with all the connectivity and technology at our command, it would be a colossal human tragedy and a shame on the whole world.
