She has won numerous awards at home as well as in other Eastern European countries. Ekaterina Potego studied at the Moscow School of Music and the Vienna Conservato-ry. Among the teachers who taught her singing were Christa Ludwig and Alfred Burgstaller. She made her first appearance in 1999 at the Vienna Chamber Opera. She sang as a soloist on numerous stages throughout Europe while pursuing her career at the Vienna State Opera and the opera festivals in St. Margarethen.
