As a result of this change janapadas converted into Mahajanapadas. • In Buddhist text AnguttaraNikaya and Jaina text Bhagawatisutra we find description of 16 Mahajanapadas. • These were: Mahajanapada Capital Present Location Facts Anga Champa Northern Bihar Bimbisara conquered it and included in Magadha empire.
