Wasylk registered 5 points (2g,3a) in two BC victories, scoring her first collegiate goal on Sunday, October 10 Friday vs. Colgate and a four-point effort on Saturday against Syracuse. Connecticut at Colgate (7pm) Ott made a school record 69 saves on Saturday against #3 Mercyhurst, including 34 saves New Hampshire at Rensselaer (7pm) in the second period alone. She also stopped 45 saves the follow day against #3 Mercyhurst Wayne State at Boston U. (7pm) to give her a total of 114 saves in two games this weekend. PC had a great weekend on special teams going a perfect 12-for-12 on the penalty kill and 3-for-8 (37.5% coversion rate) on the power play. The Friars defense only allowed one goal all weekend on 76 shots Sunday, October 17 by their opponents, as Genevieve Lacasse posted a .987 save percentage on the weekend. TEAM NOTES Boston College: BC began the season with two wins on the road…a 4-0 shutout at Colgate and a 5-2 win at Syracuse. In the game against Colgate: three of the four goals came from freshmen as Taylor Wasylk scored her first and Melissa Bizzari (Stowe, Vt.) netted two of her own. Goaltender HANNAH ARMSTRONG, UNH (AURORA, ONT.) Molly Schaus recorded 29 saves in her 18th career shutout...Next up for BC is a weekend trip to RECORDED HER FIRST CAREER POINT WITH AN ASSIST Vermont with games on October 15 & 16 to open up Hockey East conference play...The last time AT SYRACUSE ON FRIDAY these two teams met (Nov. 20, 2009) the game ended in a 3-3 tie before BC won the shootout...
