We are excited to host you here in Guelph as Canada celebrates its sesquicentennial anniversary. The theme of this year’s conference “Because It’s 2017: Cultivating Diversity and Inclusion in University Governance” is meant to inspire change and encourage a push towards increased diversity in university governance. Canada is home to a rich cultural mosaic, a mosaic of varied perspectives that is invaluable. Across the country and around the world the value of these varied perspectives is being recognized and sought out. Cultivating diversity and inclusion in university governance is not only beneficial but essential in today’s world. With a range of excellent speakers and panelists we hope that this year’s program will not only be informative but also challenging. We hope to leave you with both big ideas and practical advice.
