Noteworthy: Unlike other Spanish DOs, Cava DO is not restricted to a single geographic area, though its most acclaimed bottles come from Penedès, with a winemaking tradition dating back to the 6th Century BC. Poema owns 29 hectares of vineyards surrounding the town of Sant Sadurní d’Anoia, the historic birthplace of Cava in 1872.
