The North Wales Community Safety Partnerships focus Whilst the NW Safer Communities Board is focusing at a regional level on mental health, hidden crimes and technology enabled crimes, the Board is asking local CSPs to focus on: 1. Prevent Crime and Anti-Social Behaviour Reduce victim based crime Reduce ASB Increase the reporting of Hate Crime Support vulnerable people to prevent them becoming victims of crime Reduce repeat incidents of victim based crime and ASB for victims and perpetrators Work with MARAC to manage the levels of repeat victims of Domestic Abuse Deal effectively with high risk cases of Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence Increase the confidence in reporting Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence Increase awareness amongst young people of sexual violence 2. Reduce harm and the risk of harm Reduce substance misuse Reduce drug and alcohol use Community Tension Monitoring 3. Deliver an Effective Response Reduce reoffending Understand and address migration impacts on the community safety agenda The following 2017/18 plan aims at building on the extensive work which has been undertaken in recent years which has led to a significant reduction in Crime and Disorder in the counties of Gwynedd and Anglesey. The plan will focus on areas of work which need to be developed during 2017/18, based on the strategic assessment, and also on the guidance and priorities established by the Regional Board. PC Cattaway has been with Essex Police for over 7 years, and has so far spent the majority of his career on the Epping Forest District Local Policing Team. He joined the Community Policing Team in December 2020, and has so far been busy building up relationships with key points of contact within the area to include Neighbourhood Watch co-ordinators and Parish Councillors. PC Cattaway works to proactively detect and deter crime through information brought to his attention from the local community. He has responsibility for investigating certain crimes committed within Chigwell and Grange Hill, to include low and medium risk hate crimes. My name is Ant Alcock and I’m a Chief Inspector with Essex Police, currently the District Commander for Epping Forest and Brentwood where I hold responsibility for policing. I wanted to take the time in this edition to explain the policing structure within Epping Forest. Based at Loughton Police Station, there is the Local Policing Team (LPT), Community Policing Team (CPT), Town Centre Teams (TCT) and the Criminal Investigations Department (CID). LPT provide the 24/7 cover responding to emergency and non-emergency incidents. They also contribute to investigative and proactive policing. 2 shifts of CPT officers now provide 7 day a week cover. -

However, as Lancashire spends less on policing than other forces, finding savings is not without challenge. The constabulary has responded to the challenge well, with the majority of spending cuts already made, ahead of target. HMIC is impressed that the plans for achieving the savings have been strongly focused on making sure that the quality and visibility of policing in Lancashire is maintained as far as possible, despite fewer staff. 1 Spring 2021 North Weald, Passingford, Lambourne and Theydon Bois Introduction to your local officer PC Andy Cook is the Community Policing Team beat officer for North Weald, Passingford (to include Stanford Rivers, Stapleford Abbotts and Tawney, and Theydon Garnon and Mount), Lambourne (to include Abridge and Lambourne End) and Theydon Bois. He has been an officer for 17 years, and performed a number of roles within the Epping Forest District as well as Harlow. PC Cook joined the Epping Forest District Community Policing Team in 2008. Day to day work for PC Cook involves patrolling his beat areas, addressing local concerns and carrying out enquiries for various crimes allocated to him which have occurred in these areas. These include low and medium risk hate crimes. PC Cook works particularly closely with the various Parish Councils, attending meetings and providing updates where possible.
