Depending on how fast the first batch goes, we may have a small delay in-between batches. We can assure you that your pedals will be shipping out within the next 2-4 weeks. We know many of you may be reluctant to place orders for a new release in this time of uncertainty. Therefore, it is very difficult for us to anticipate sales using past metrics and order history. That is the reason we have such a wide window for delivery. IN ORDER TO HELP OUR DEALERS… For a limited time, we will give all Garbage Face pedals the 10pc column (-40%) regardless of quantity. 25pc will still receive end column (-45%). Also, we have committed to selling ONLY 10pc of a special signed pedal through our own website. Once these 10 are sold, we will have the Garbage Face listed as sold out on our site probably for at least a couple months in order to encourage sales through our dealers. ADDITIONAL INFO: In full transparency, we have allowed one dealer in the USA to get an advance small special order. Without going into detail, we’ll tell you that this isn’t a huge order that we’d anticipate digging into your own sales. Also, be assured, that this is only one dealer. Everyone else is on a 100% level playing field. You have our word on this. Worried about our ability to make pedals because of the coronavirus? You need not be. We have reconfigured our process, allowing our employees to be able to build pedals from home, only coming by the shop weekly to drop-off and pickup parts, therefore keeping any risk of exposure to one another to an absolute minimum. I (Matthew) am personally coming in to the shop before and after these visits to sanitize the shop. Your PO’s allow us to keep 100% of our employees working their normal hours, and we truly appreciate your business. We know we couldn’t do this without you! Submit all orders to: [email protected].

  • Dinosaur Jr Till Skandinavien
Future generations will fuck up again THE OUTPATIENTS got started in 1982 by Deep Wound bassist Scott Helland At least we can try and change the one we’re in and his older brother Eric “Vis” Helland, guitarist/vocalist of Mace — a 1980-82 — Deep Wound, “Deep Wound” Metal group that played like Motörhead but dug Black Flag (a rare blend back then). The Outpatients opened for bands like EAST COAST Black Flag, Hüsker Dü and SSD. Flipside called ’em “one of the most brutalizing live bands In 1980, over-with small cities and run-down mill towns across the Northeast from the period.” 1983’s gnarly Basement Tape teemed with bored kids with nothing to do. Punk of any kind earned a cultural demo included credits that read: “Play loud in death sentence in the land of stiff upper-lipped Yanks. That cultural isolation math class.” became the impetus for a few notable local Hardcore scenes. • Dinosaur Jr. to Shred the Met, Sep 27
Dinosaur Jr. to Shred The Met, Sep 27 Dinosaur Jr.: (L-R) J Mascis, Lou Barlow, Murph Dinosaur Jr. have been putting out amazing music ever since the original trio of J Mascis, Murph and Lou Barlow got back together in 2005. Four albums have risen from the reunion, with Give a Glimpse of What Yer Not the most recent in August 2016. The evolution of the band since 1984 has Mascis and Barlow both bringing their songwriting talents to the forefront while Murph proves he’s one of the best drummers alive on every track. In an age where underground rock has been searching for its latest identity, Dinosaur Jr. has resurrected and reinvigorated the classic alternative sound. This trio will be taking the stage at The Met in Pawtucket on Sep 27 for what should be a killer time with Detroit’s Easy Action opening things up. I had a talk with Murph ahead of the show about being in fellow Massachusetts band The Lemonheads during the ‘90s, the differences between playing with J and Evan Dando, breaking sticks and what his favorite drum kit is. Rob Duguay (Motif): Dinosaur Jr.’s latest album Give a Glimpse of What Yer Not came out a little over a year ago. J Mascis has produced nearly all of Dinosaur Jr.’s records: Is there any difference between working with J as a musician versus J as a producer, or is it all the same? Murph: It’s pretty much the same. When J is in the studio producing and engineering, Lou and I aren’t there.

The 100 Greatest Alternative Singles of the '90s - Part 2 (80 - 61) popmatters.com /feature/the-100-greatest-alternative-singles-of-the-90s-part-2-80-61/ by Chris Gerard 14 July 2016 The second part of our examination of the 100 Greatest Alternative Singles of the '90s includes Pavement, Suzanne Vega, Morrissey, Dinosaur Jr., and more. 1/4 80. Sisters of Mercy - “More” (1990) Jim Steinman, famed writer and producer of wonderfully overblown theatrical rock like Meat Loaf’s Bat Out of Hell, Bonnie Tyler’s “Total Eclipse of the Heart” and Celine Dion’s “It’s All Coming Back to Me Now”, was a natural fit to produce the electronic goth-dance epic “More” by Sisters of Mercy. They are, after all, a band never afraid to go way, way over the top, which is just where Jim Steinman likes it. “More” is the soundtrack to a vampire nightclub, played deep in the night while black-garbed ghouls flit gracefully about the shadowy dance-floor, lightning flickering overhead. The album version stretches for over eight minutes, but the single mix really delivers all that you need. Starting with bracing jolts of synth, “More” builds slowly from a piano base with half-whispered vocals before exploding with the chorus “I want more!” and seemingly incongruously soulful vamping that somehow works despite belonging to another sonic dimension. Andrew Eldritch’s mordant growl is a tense counterpoint to the soaring backing vocals. Electronic strings and treated piano help to build a darkly atmospheric backdrop while Eldritch half-whispers the verses with as much drama as he can muster.

  • Album of the Week: Dinosaur Jr.’S Give a Glimpse Of
Album Of The Week: Dinosaur Jr.’s Give A Glimpse Of What Yer Not How exactly can a band that started out in the ’80s be considered a breath of fresh air now? Well you’ll have to start listening to what Amherst, Massachusetts, sludgy alternative rock trio Dinosaur Jr. have been putting out since the original trio of guitarist J Mascis, bassist Lou Barlow and drummer Murph got back together in 2005. Since then the band has released four stellar albums including their most recent, Give A Glimpse Of What Yer Not, that was released on August 5. It still has that trademark shred from the band’s beginnings in the ’80s and the polish from the band’s releases in the ’90s. What makes it different than the other post-reunion albums is that the song structures are a bit more abstract. Give A Glimpse Of What Yer Not is intriguing with how everything is set up. A few of the tracks in the beginning are loud, abrasive and upbeat. Then it gets changed up with a few songs that are sludge ballads alternating with other diverse material. It makes Dinosaur Jr.’s new album very unique, but don’t worry — there are still plenty of stunning solos courtesy of Mascis. The trio isn’t afraid to take chances on themselves musically and for a band with a dedicated and cult-like fan base, that takes some guts. Dinosaur Jr. have always been one of the most consistent acts out there today. If someone likes music that’s heavy, energetic and emphatic, then chances are they’re a fan of the trio from Amherst.
