Please bring any non-perishable food or personal item for donation to Long Island Cares. There will be a new supply of Metro Tees and Tanks for sale and for order at the party. Don’t forget your checkbook. And save the dates, June 11 th and 12 th , for the 8 th Annual Metro & Morris at Captain’s Cove. The first tickets will be sold at the Frosted Party.

METRO YAHOO GROUP Well, I’ve tried and tried to get a Metro Yahoo Group up and running. I had hoped that it would be our main form of communications. I sent out 222 invitations to join the group to all of our single and family members. I’ve written to some members we were missing current emails on. If you missed the invitations, I’ve advised you how to join yourself, but to date we have only receive 63 responses. It appears we cannot use it for our main form of communication. Therefore, we will continue to use the Banana Wind and the Newsletter as in the past. We will also email the newsletter out on a monthly basis and follow that up with the hard copy. If you are happy with the email copy only (in color), please let us know and we will remove you from the mailing list and save a few bucks for the club and a few trees. I hope your holidays were great and that you are keeping warm during this very cold winter, and remember, spring is March 20 th and summer starts June 21 st See you all at the Frosted Tailgate Party, hopefully crutches free, unless I break something else.

Margaritaville Premium Jamaican Rum ~~~ Arriving SSSoonSoon !

(hopefully)

We have been waiting very patiently for the arrival of Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville Rum. Recently, Margaritaville released the following information regarding the much anticipated commodity.

Silver Clear. Light vanilla, cane stalk, warm custard, and nougat aromas. A soft, silky entry leads to a dry light-to-medium body of attractive cane, vanilla bean, and pepper flavors. Finishes with a zesty, peppery powdered sugar flavor.

Spiced Pale golden amber color. Creamy vanilla, cloves, nutmeg, and white chocolate aromas. A rich supple off-dry medium body with notes of white pepper and toasted nut. Finishes with a long, warm cinnamon and spicy vanilla fade.

Dark Deep golden amber color. Vibrant aromas of brown sugar, buttery caramel, roasted nuts, and crème brulee. A buoyant entry leads to a dry-yet-fruity medium body accented with vanilla beans, nut, and peppery brown spice flavors. Finishes with a nice dark caramel toffee and peppery spice fade.

Coconut Clear. Rich fresh-cut coconut and soft vanilla bean aromas follow through to a mildly sweet medium body of toasted coconut flavor. Finishes with nice length and creaminess.
