FLINT, MICH. – The Capitol Theatre is proud to announce Capitol Music at Home, a series of streaming music documentaries that you can watch at home. Streaming is available for purchase online at CapitolTheatreFlint.com.

A third party provides streaming and ticketing. You can pay now and watch within 72 hours, except for Zappa. Zappa is available for 30 days from purchase with 72 hours to finish when started.

DECEMBER:  Dec. 15 Bad Reputation is a 2018 American documentary film about the career of rock musician , directed by Kevin Kerslake and written by Joel Marcus. The documentary traces Jett’s musical career from the formation of the Runaways through her subsequent partnership with and producer Kenny Laguna.

Bad Reputation is available for purchase from December 15 until December 20

 Dec. 22 Zappa tells the story of a rock musician and composer Frank Zappa, a trove of home movies, filmed interview and more from the family’s vaults. Zappa, who died of cancer in 1993, comes off more driven and thought is, and less of a provocateur, than his public image.

JANUARY:  Jan. 5 Muscle Shoals tells the fascinating story of and the Fame Studios in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. It is one of those "truth is stranger than fiction" stories about Hall, who founded the studios and the signature sound he developed in songs such as “I’ll Take You There, “Brown Sugar” and “When a Man Loves a Woman.”

 Jan. 12 The Wrecking Crew is a 2008 American documentary film directed by Denny Tedesco, son of guitarist Tommy Tedesco. It covers the story of the Los Angeles–based group of session musicians known as the Wrecking Crew, famed for having played on numerous hit recordings throughout the 1960s and early 1970s.

 Jan. 19 : Nothing Can Hurt Me is the definitive documentary about the beloved and Influential 70s rock band Big Star. Together less than four years, the band flirted with mainstream success but never achieved it. Nonetheless, they produced a body of work of seminal importance to pop and alternative music, including major artists like REM, Elliot Smith and countless others.
