This card enables you to take part in the Olympiaregion Seefeld’s programme of activities either free of charge or at a greatly reduced cost. Conditions for taking part in the activities: • In order to take part in a particular activity you must have it electronically added to your guest card or you can register to take part via our online shop. • You must show your guest card at the start of the activity. • If you book your place via the online shop you must present the booking confirmation at the start of the activity. TIP – do your bit for the environment and make use of the mobile guest card ‘Olympia’. Get to know the Karwendel Valley from a totally different perspective! Waterfalls and gorges embedded among the craggy wilderness of the Karwendel mountains. The spectrum of this guided, nature-themed hike ranges from insects in flowering meadows to our larger co-inhabitants in the Karwendel range, such as chamois and golden eagles. Join us and discover the many awe-inspiring treasures that nature has to offer at every step and enjoy the wealth of fascinating stories and information provided by your guide. The construction of fences ranks among the oldest rural cultural techniques. Wendelin Neuner is one of only a hand- ful of people left in Tyrol who are still proficient in the craft of creating fences without the use of iron nails or screws. After a tour of the village of Mösern you have the chance to learn the traditional technique of natural fence-making and weave a piece of fence yourself in Wendelin’s ‘open-air workshop’. Take advantage of the unique opportunity to join a tour of the Toni Seelos ski jump – from the out-run to the jump-off plat- form to the jumpers’ starting bar at the very top. Be amazed at just how steep the in-run is and take in the stunning views of Seefeld, the location of the 2019 FIS Nordic World Ski Champi- onships. At the end of the tour you have the chance to try your hand at biathlon shooting. Go on – give it a go! Join us on a journey through the local history of the utilisation of wood. In the 19th century the timber felled in the Karwendel massif was driven down the river to Scharnitz where it was processed. This nature hike takes us through the fascinating Gleirschklamm gorge and on to the Oberbrunnalm mountain hut, where we can rest and enjoy a bite to eat, before we conti- nue through the little-known Isertal valley, past the Teufelsloch- klamm gorge back to Scharnitz. Our tour ends with a visit to the ‘Holzerhütte’ museum of logging. Good, sturdy footwear and waterproof clothing are a must! Ensure you have plenty to drink with you. Verglichen mit dem Vorjahr hat die Bevölkerungszahl in Tirol um 7.014 Personen (+0,9 %) zugenommen. Die Bevölkerungszunahme war zwar geringer als im Vorjahr, erreichte aber den zweithöchsten Wert seit Anfang der 1990er Jahre. Ein hoher Wanderungsgewinn sowie eine positive Geburtenbilanz waren für die überdurchschnittliche Bevölkerungszunahme verantwortlich. - Der allgemein zu beobachtende Trend einer älter werdenden Gesellschaft macht auch vor unserem Bundesland nicht halt. Die Tiroler Bevölkerung weist einerseits eine niedrige Geburtenziffer auf, andererseits aber auch eine steigende Lebenserwartung. Beides führt dazu, dass in rund 20 Jahren bereits jede/r vierte TirolerIn 65 Jahre oder älter sein wird.

Adventsingen Zu Maria Empfängnis fand auch heuer wieder das Adventsingen statt. Mit weih- nachtlichen Liedern und Weisen wurden die zahlreichen Besucher auf das bevor- stehende Weihnachtsfest eingestimmt. Zum ersten Mal war auch der Kinderchor unter der Leitung von Beate Kostner- Witting dabei. Weitere teilnehmende Gruppen: das „Tiroler Dreierlei“, wunderbare Stimmen aus Nord-, Süd- und Osttirol, ein Kla- rinettentrio der Musikkapelle Hatting, Peter Kostner an der Harfe, die Wiltener Holzbläser und die „Blechbeiser“. Im Anschluss gab es noch einen kleinen Umtrunk am Schulhof. Seniorenweihnachtsfeier Eine sehr besinnliche Weihnachtsfeier für alle Hattinger Se- niorinnen und Senioren fand am 9. Dezember 2016 im Ge- meindesaal statt. Der Kirchenchor und ein Trompeten-Quartett haben die Feier musikalisch umrahmt. Für das leibliche Wohl war auch bestens gesorgt. BIG DATA in der Hydrographie Was oft als Schlagwort in der Analyse von Datenquellen in Transaktionssystemen von Unternehmen und Märkten verwendet wird, findet im hydrographischen Messwesen und in der hydrologischen Auswertung ebenfalls seine tägliche Anwendung. Im Online-Messnetz des Hydrographischen Dienstes Tirol werden ca. 1000 Messwerte pro Minute registriert, aggregiert und abgespeichert. Mittels automatisierter Datenübertragung erfolgt der Transfer in das landeseigene Datenbanksystem und steht damit für weitere Auswertungen zur Verfügung. Die Analyse der Rohdaten übernehmen dabei EDV-Routinen. Mit Prüfroutinen wird die Konsistenz der Daten plausibilisiert. In Sekundenbruchteilen wird entschieden, ob beispielsweise ein Pegelalarm ausgesendet werden muss. In einem weiteren Schritt der Qualitätskontrolle prüfen die Hydrographinnen und Hydrographen diese Online-Daten am EDV Arbeitsplatz und können bei Datenausfällen oder Fehlwerten gezielt eingreifen, um für die Hochwasserprognosemodelle korrekte
