  • Car Seat Headrest Slipper Albumet "Twin Fantasy"
Foto: Video still 09-01-2018 17:51 CET CAR SEAT HEADREST SLIPPER ALBUMET "TWIN FANTASY" CAR SEAT HEADREST – "TWIN FANTASY" –NY VERSJON AV ALBUMET UTE 16. FEBRUAR SE MUSIKKVIDEO TIL "NERVOUS YOUNG INHUMANS" Fans av Car Seat Headrest, nye som gamle, vil glede seg over å høre at Will Toledo sitt Bandcamp-mesterverk "Twin Fantasy" fra 2011 har blitt gjenskapt og spilt inn på nytt. Albumet slippes 16. februar via Matador Records. "It was never a finished work", forteller Toledo,"and it wasn't until last year that I figured out how to finish it."

  • Car Seat Headrest Teens of Denial Full Album Download
car seat headrest teens of denial full album download Car Seat Headrest Conquer Graduation Jitters With New Album ‘Teens of Denial’ The Seattle-based lo-fi dynamo takes us through the genesis of his first studio record. Will Toledo, the main brain behind Car Seat Headrest, is glad that it’s not 2013 anymore. A few years ago, the bedroom-pop luminary was in a “purgatorial” state as he prepared to graduate from Virginia’s College of William & Mary, where many of his friends from the class ahead had left to figure out post-college life. Toledo, a Virginia native, was afraid that he wouldn’t. “I knew there wasn’t an office job I wanted to jump into or anything, or a career, other than music,” the 23-year-old tells SPIN over the phone from his current home of Seattle. “That’s hard to prepare for when you’re graduating college.” It was during this liminal period when Toledo wrote the bulk of his forthcoming record, Teens of Denial , which arrives May 20 via Matador and follows last year’s similarly named compilation record, Teens of Style . Before his signing with the New York- and London-based label, though, Toledo had been writing a series of melancholic, self-deprecating songs as Car Seat Headrest ever since his transition from high school to college in 2010. Over time, they amounted to 11 albums on Bandcamp. Ironically, while writing what would become his first label-released full-length, Toledo was dissatisfied with his progress. “[Writing Teens of Denial ] was actually one of the longest processes I’ve had of writing an album,” he says.

  • Indie Mixtape
:: View email as a web page :: Long before we were all forced into it, Fiona Apple turned social distancing into an art form. For the better of the early 21st century, the masterful 42-year-old singer-songwriter has sequestered herself away from the pop mainstream she once uncomfortably ruled. In the past 20 years, she’s only put out three albums — including her latest, Fetch The Bolt Cutters — and the gap between releases has grown longer with each LP. That she retreated to her home in Venice Beach was not a surprise — at the height of her early fame, she famously stared down the vacuous hordes at the MTV Video Music Awards and declared that “this world is bullshit.” This clearly was not a person who longed for the red carpet. What is surprising, however, is how this separation from the larger culture hasn’t diluted her skills as an artist or perceptive observer of human nature. Read the Uproxx review of her latest masterwork here. -- Steven Hyden, Uproxx Cultural Critic and author of This Isn't Happening: Radiohead's "Kid A" and the Beginning Of The 21st Century Geoff Rickly is here to help you soundtrack any mood in our new show Making A Mixtape. Hit the banner above to watch Rickly and some special guests curate a short playlist to fit a specific moment or experience during the day, whether that be “moody,” “energy,” or “details.” OPENING TRACKS CAR SEAT HEADREST Next week Will Toledo and company will release one of the most anticipated indie albums of 2020, Making A Door Less Open.

  • PRESSEMITTEILUNG 09.01.2018 Car Seat Headrest Im Mai Zu Gast In
FKP Scorpio Konzertproduktionen GmbH Große Elbstr. 277 a ∙ 22767 Hamburg Tel.
