A Thousand Days recalls how the city's vibrant history and culture clashed with its traumatic recent past, and how Berliners dealt with the scars left by the Wall.

Charlottenburg Palace and Art Museums

The Palace built at the end of the 17th century was greatly expanded during the 18th. The exotic internal decoration is in baroque and rococo styles. A large formal garden surrounds the palace, including a lake, a belvedere, a mausoleum and a pavilion. Small groups will view the Palace and one or two of the surrounding museums: Museum Berggrün – Collection of Modern Classics, Bröhanmusuem – Art Nouveau and Art Deco, or Private Collection Scharf-Gerstenberg with famous surrealistic art Coach transport will be provided.

The Wall Tour

The Berlin Wall was the frontier dividing Berlin between 1961 and 1990. This guided tour will show you all the important and well known places and remains of the Berlin Wall.
