His show on Los Angeles' KROQ-FM has been a hit with youth of all ages since it's inception in late 1976, becoming famous for, among other thigs, the newest and the best rock music for all ofL.A.'s "in..crowd" and forward thking listeners. Rodney appeared on the Monkees' TV series as a regular guest, and was Davy Jones' stand-in when he was a kid. As a teenager, Rodney grew up with hundreds of rock stars, including: The Monkees, Sonny & Cher, The Beach Boys, The Beatles, The Byrds, Elvis Presley, and David Bowie (whie landing Bowie a record contract with RCA .) Rodney Does a Bowie salute every year on that star's birthday as well as doing a Phil Spector salute on that producer's birthday. In the early 12.70s he owned a nightclub called lZodnfY Bingenheimer's English VÙco, located on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles, near his various Curson Street apartments of the past 30 years. It was a favonte hangout of many rock stars and introduced much of Los 1\ ngeles to glam rock.

Art and music cross-fertilized with a vengeance following a stripped-down, hard-edged, anti- establishment ethos, with some artists plastering city walls with self-designed posters or spray painted monikers, while others commandeered abandoned buildings, turning vacant garages into makeshift theaters for Super 8 film screenings and raucous performances. Many artists found the experimental music scene more vital and conducive to their contrarian ideas than the handful of contemporary art galleries in the city. Artists in turn formed bands, performed in clubs and non- profit art galleries, and self-published their own records and zines while using public access cable channels as a venue for media experiments and cultural debates. Looking at Music: Side 2 is organized by Barbara London, Associate Curator, Department of Media and Performance Art, The Museum of Modern Art, and succeeds Looking at Music (2008), an examination of the interaction between artists and musicians of the 1960s and early 1970s.

The O 2 Crew is turning 2010 into one huge event: All through the year, O 2 will be offering the best live entertainment from the genres of music, comedy, dance and cinema in Berlin, Munich, Stuttgart, Düsseldorf, Cologne and Hamburg. The first of these highlights have now been finalised for April and May 2010. MUSIC AMY MACDONALD Recently, the 22-year-old singer released her second album, "A Curious Thing", which just entered the German Top 100 Album Charts at number one. Her success story features many highlights: In 2009, an Echo Award for the “Most successful international newcomer”, four times platinum record for her song “This Is the Life” and position 3 in the German album charts.
