Geologia,GORTANIA Paleontologia, Paletnologia 34 (2012) Geologia, Paleontologia, Paletnologia 34 (2012) 111-126 Udine, 10.XII.2013 ISSN: 2038-0410 Federica Zendron MATERIALI CERAMICI PROTOSTORICI DA CASTIONS DI STRADA (UDINE) E GALLERIANO (LESTIZZA, UDINE) PROTOHISTORIC POTTERY ASSEMBLAGES FROM CASTIONS DI STRADA (UDINE) AND GALLERIANO (LESTIZZA, UDINE) Riassunto breve -Vengono presentati due esigui raggruppamenti di ceramica recuperati agli inizi del Novecento dai soci del Circolo Speleologico e Idrologico Friulano di Udine negli abitati arginati (castellieri) di Castions di Strada e di Galleriano. I cocci provenienti da Galleriano costituiscono un contesto unitario datato al Bronzo Recente, quelli raccolti a Castions di Strada sono ricollegabili alla fondazione e alle due fasi di potenziamento della cinta (fine Bronzo Medio-inizi Bronzo Recente, Bronzo Recente, Bronzo Finale/Primo Ferro). Particolare rilievo ha il rinvenimento in quest’ultimo sito di un’olla del V sec. a.C. che qui per la prima volta documenta una frequentazione, seppur sporadica, dell’insediamento anche dopo il suo abbandono. Abstract - The author presents two small pottery assemblages from two sites explored by the “Circolo Speleologico e Idrologico Friulano” of Udine at the beginning of 20th century: the fortified settlement of Galleriano (Lestizza, Udine) and the village of Castions di Strada (Udine) originally surrounded by embankments. These sites, locally named “castellieri”, have been established in the Middle Friuli Plain during the Bronze Age. The pottery from Galleriano is dated to Late Bronze Age. The ceramic from Castions is classified in three assemblages corresponding to the building and the two different development phases of the banks (transitions from the Middle Bronze Age to the Late Bronze Age, the Late Bronze Age and from the Final Bronze Age to the Early Iron Age).

    Il vino nella storia di Venezia Vigneti e cantine nelle terre dei dogi tra XIII e XXI secolo Il vino nella storia di Venezia Biblos Biblos Venice and Viticulture Vines and Wines: the legacy of the Venetian Republic Venice and Viticulture Vines and Wines: the legacy of the Venetian Republic edited by Carlo Favero Using wine as one’s theme in recounting the long and complex history of Venice offers the reader an original insight into the past of the city and the territories it once ruled, a new way of looking at the monuments of a glorious past whose traces are still to be found in churches, art collections, libraries, public squares … and in gardens and vineyards. This is a book to read and a reference work for future consultation; a book that recounts not only history but also developments in technology and customs. The story told here covers the city’s links with the wine from its mainland and overseas possessions but also the wine produced within the lagoon itself. This is a relationship that dates back centuries, with the city’s magazeni and bacari serving at different points in history to satisfy the public taste for the different types of Malvasia and Raboso. And as the wine trade flourished, the Venetians showed all their entrepreneurial flair in serving markets throughout the known world. Indeed, it was in attempting to find even more distant markets for the Malvasia from Crete the Venetian nobleman Pietro Querini would end up shipwrecked on the Lofoten islands close to the Arctic circle, ironically discovering a new product himself: the stock fish (baccalà) that would then become very popular in Venice and the Venetian Republic.

Introduction According to the Institute for Regional Venetian Villas, there are 4,404 Vene- tian villas, 3,968 of which are located in the Veneto region, and 436 of which are located in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region. The Venetian villas are a fundamental part of Italian heritage. The villas’ importance was recognised by UNESCO, which added 24 villas de- signed by Andrea Palladio to the World Heritage List between 1994 and 1996.

    Vermessung & Geoinformation 1/2021, S. 25 – 36, 17 Abb. 25 Die Illyrische Grenze – die Teilung Kärntens zwischen 1809 und 1814 The Illyrian border – the division of Carinthia from 1809 to 1814 Dietrich Kollenprat, Klagenfurt am Wörthersee Kurzfassung Diese Betrachtung reicht rund 200 Jahre zurück in Kärntens Vergangenheit und betrifft die Zeit von 1809 bis 1814, die Zeit Napoleons I., in der Kärnten in einen Ost-Teil (Klagenfurter Kreis) und in einen West-Teil (Villacher Kreis) geteilt war. Der Westen gehörte zur Napoleonischen Provinz Illyrien und der Ostteil zum Reich der Habsburger Monarchie. Im Folgenden wird versucht, diese Grenze, diese Zeit, die Umstände und Folgen aus geodätischer Betrachtung darzustellen. Schlüsselwörter: Illyrische Grenze, Napoleon I, Friede von Schönbrunn, historische Grenzsteine Abstract This view goes back around 200 years in Carinthia’s past and concerns the period from 1809 to 1814, the time of Napoleon I, in which Carinthia was divided into an eastern part (Klagenfurt district) and a western part (Villach district). The west belonged to the Napoleonic province of Illyria and the eastern part to the empire of the Habsburg monarchy. The following attempt represents this boundary, this time, the circumstances and the consequences from a geodetic perspective.
