Acompañado de su esposa Landy Rocío Gutiérrez Árias, el presidente, quien fue recibido por parte de los asistentes a la Plaza de Armas, gritó los tradiciona- les "vivas" a los héroes nacionales. "¡Mexicanos: vivan los héroes que nos dieron Patria. Viva Hidalgo; viva Morelos; viva Josefa Ortiz de Domínguez; viva Allende; viva Aldama y Matamoros!", victoreó. Al final del grito del 203 aniversario de la Independencia de México, el mandatario celebró: "¡Viva la Independencia Nacional!", ¡Viva México, viva México, viva México!” Cientos de asistentes acudieron al Centro de la ciudad para escuchar el “Grito de Independencia”, disfrutar de una kermés organizada por diferentes grupos de varias escuelas, degustaron del tequila que fue obsequiado al paso de la burrita con sus barriles y del espectáculo de fuegos artificiales. La lluvia que cayó esa noche no evitó que la gente llegara temprano, como en otras ocasiones, para disfrutar los festejos Patrios y tener un buen lugar cerca del escenario, donde se presentaron dos diferentes cantantes, la voz gemela de Joan Sebastián y del cantante de música vernácula Humberto Cravioto, siendo este último quien entonara el Himno Nacional Mexicano. -
