All Adult Education Saturday classes will conclude the 2011/2012 school year the weekend of June 23.

Inserts included with this memo: All evening classes will conclude the week of July 16, 2012.  A Teacher’s Prayer  April 2012 supply list The June semester in ESL/Citizenship preparation classes will conclude on Friday, June 29, 2012.

The July registers will start the week of July 3, and conclude the week of July 16.

July leaves of absence will be granted for the period of Tuesday, July 3 - Friday, July 20, 2012. The application deadline is Friday, May 11, 2012. Additional reminders will be placed in the next monthly memoranda.

The CD-ROM includes resources in all ten languages. In response to employees’ suggestions, Adult Education Program has revised the formatting of the LINC and LBS Settlement Services letters of assignment currently being mailed to instructors. Ontario Day to Day Package

Multiple copies of Ontario Day to Day Package are still avail- able in the Warehouse. You are invited to order and pass them on to your learners. Please place your order through Baldev Sikhana indicating the number of copies in each language.

Ontario Day to Day package, a DVD and Resource Orientation tool is intended to provide information immigrants need in order to make a smooth transition to Ontario. It includes a DVD with the 60-minute Ontario Day to Day film, a binder with supplementary materials, and a CD-ROM, containing pdf versions of all the printed materials included in the binder. The package can be used as a “takeaway” tool for learners. —>

We delivered promotion material to numerous agencies across the city. This delivery will continue throughout the month to the re- maining regions. A list of the agencies visited is included below.

After receiving positive feedback about the delivery of Chinese-language flyers to supermarkets across Scarborough, we prepared new flyers and completed another delivery. Hundreds of flyers were posted at over a dozen supermarkets in the North-East region of the city.

We are happy to announce the addition of three new languages to our promotion material. Hungarian, Polish, and Tibetan promo- tion packages will be delivered within their respective communities. If you would like to suggest sites for this delivery, please email [email protected] or call 416 397 6551.
