SHOP SUBARNAPUR DISTRICT ODISHA • Excise department Govt of Osisha has granted/renewed the Pitamaul O.S. Shop (with a branch at Subalaya) for producing country liquor with Still Deck Capacity of 1080 Ltrs. Valid upto 31.03.2018. • The license is granted in favour of Mr. Sarjan Sahu of Gajbandh village, Rampur PS in Subarnapur district of Odisha • The Pitamahul OS shop installed village Pitamahul in Birmaharajpur Tehsil of Subarnapur district. • The Pitamahul O.S. shop install in a leased out land over Ac. 0.400 Dec area • The Location of the project approached from Kadaligarh (on Rairakhol – Boudh State Highway) situated at 15 kms from the project site. • The project is situated adjacent to the Road joining Kadaligarh to Subdivision headquarter Birmaharajpur. • The project area is bounded by Latitude: 20 054.232 N to 20 054.248 N and Longitude: 84 011.575E to 84 011.597E and Featuded in SOI Toposheet No. 73D/1. • Birmaharjpur situated at a distance of 15 kms from the project site • The nearest National highway Bolangir-Khordha (NH 224) at a distance of 30 kms • The nearest railway station at Rairakhol at a distance of 30 kms • Nearest water body is River Mahanadi flows at a distance of 1 km in south direction from the project. • Durdura reserved forest exists at a distance of 1.5 km in north east direction. • No wildlife or archeological sensitive area exist within 10 kms of project site. • The nearest education and health facility available at Subalaya distance of 5 kms. • The production capacity of the O.S. shop is 672 liters per day • Employment Potential of the plant is 10 nos • The raw material of the project is Mahua flower, Water and Rice Husk • The per day requirement of raw material are Mahua flower is 640 Kg , Water 3.5 KL and 500 kg of rice husk. • The Mahua flower and rice husk procured from local market and water sourced from ground through borewell. • Deck capacity is 1080 ltrs • The process is Mahua flowers are putting in drums filled with water four days before it goes into brewing. After the bubbles are seen on the top of the drum, that drum of flowers is feet for further processing in the furnace and transferred to the brewing copper pot on the bottom. The brewing chamber has a hearth/furnace with one pot. The bucket placed near the furnace is connected to the brew which is situated in the middle of the chamber pot with a pipe. The process often takes three hours. The vapors cooled by cooling water tank and become liquid form. The liquid collected and packed as country liquor. • A chimney of 5 meter height installed in the furnace to control the air pollution • The total quantity of 3.5 KL of water required for the plant sourced from borewell inside the plant premises. • From the process 0.5 TDP of Mahua flower Residue and 0.005 TPD of husk ash generated as solid waste. Also 1.5 KL of waste water generated from the unit per day from cooling process. • The waste water stored in settling tank for reuse in the plant • The solid waste mahua flower residue used for organic manure and the husk ash for brick making. • The green belt over 0.12 dec has developed in the area • The project cost is Rs. 10,00,000.00 .

Government publication in a more elaborate and ambitious form in 1961 Census. It was divided into 3 parts: Part] gave a narrative account of each District; Part 1I contained various Census Tables and a ~eries of Primary Census data relating to each village and town ; and Part III presented certain administrative statistics obtained from Government Departments. These parts further enriched by inclusion of maps of the district and of police stations within the district were together -brought out in ODe volume. The Handbook, for each one of the 13 Districts of the State was acknowledged to be highly useful. 2. But the purpose and utility of this valuable compilation somewhat suffered on account of the time lag that intervened between the conclusion of Census and the publication of the Handbook. The delay was unavoidable in the sense that the Handbook-complete with all the constituent parts brought together in one volume had necessarily<to wait till after completion of the processing and tabulation of Gensus data and collection and compilation of a large array of administrative and other statistics. 3. With the object of cutting out the delay, and also_ to making each volume handy and not-too-bulky it has been decided to bring out the 1971 District Census Handbook in three parts separately with the data becoming available from stage to stage as briefly indicated below : Part A-This part will incorporate the Town Directory and the Village Directory for each district.

CENSUS OF INDIA, 1981 DISTRICT CENSUS HANDBOOK PART A-VILLAGE AND TOWN DIRECTORY BALANGIR fOREWORD The District Census Handbook (DCH), compiled by the Census Organisation on behalf of the State Governments, is one of the most valuable products of the Census. The DCH is constantly referred to by planners, administrators, academi­ cians and researchers. It is inter alia used for delimitation of constituencies, formulation of local level and regional plans and as an aid to District administration. The District Census Handbook is the only publication which provides Primary Census Abstract (PCA) data upto village level for the rural areas and wardwise for each city or town. It also provides data on infrastructure and amenities in villages and towns etc. The District Census Handbook series was initiated during the 1951 Census. It contained important census tables and PCA for each village and town of the district. During 1961 Census the scope of the DCH was enlarged and it contained .i descriptive account of the district, administrative statistics, census tables and a. village and town directory, including PCA. The 1971 DCH series was planned in three parts. Part-A related to village and town directory, Part-B to village and town PCA and Part-C comprised analytical report, administrative statistics, district census tables and certain analytical tables based on PCA and amenity data in respect of villages. However, in some States it was confined to district census tables and in a few cases altogether given up due to delay in compilation and printing.
