Winner of the Celebration of Sport Evening 2012 Children’s Coach of the Year, Matthew Lewton described winning the award: “I was incredibly honoured to have won Children’s Coach of the Year in 2012; it gave me the confidence to go on and expand my coaching in the local community with my own soccer school and hopefully promote the game I love to next generations. I'm so lucky to have met so many wonderful children from 18 months old to 8 year olds through my soccer school. Without winning this award this would never have happened and I'm now making a difference to so many and that's a big thank you to Wesport.” Wesport wants to celebrate those people who are truly inspiring and who work every day to make sure that the West of England is the best experience for sport and physical activity. 2013 is the first year of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Legacy. The Celebration of Sport Evening is a great opportunity to recognise the efforts of those who are making sure that the Olympic and Paralympic spirit continues to burn bright in the West of England. The Celebration of Sport Nominations open today (1st July) and will close on Friday 13th September 2013. To access a nomination pack Click Here or visit www.wesport.org.uk/cosenomination.
