With you every

step of the way

We make it easy for you.
Better evening entertainment.

If you want free in-house entertainment at your accommodation each evening, your rep will organise it for you.
Outstanding support makes all the difference, especially when you’re away from home. So it’s reassuring to know that even before you travel, your personal Tour Organiser will be on the end of a phone if you have any questions. Then, when you’ve arrived at your resort you’ll have a PGL Ski Representative dedicated exclusively to your group for your entire stay.
Your rep will also be happy to arrange après ski at your resort – or to ensure you get your preferred activity you can book it and pay before you travel.

Your PGL rep.

Our reps are the best in the business: trained by us to work with school groups, friendly and dedicated to making your ski trip an amazing and rewarding experience for everyone.
Depending on the size of your resort, there will usually be a number of après ski options such as swimming, bowling and ice-skating. Or you could try something a little different such as a trip to a local ice hockey game or night skiing.

What can you expect from your PGL rep?

Full details of all après ski venues in resort are available on request and on our website www.pgl.co.uk/ski

Dedicated support throughout your stay

Liaison with ski school and your hotel

Assistance with collecting lift passes

Help with organising ski fit

Delivery of free in-house evening entertainment programmes for the duration of your stay

Affordable skiing

that gives you more

To ensure you get the best value ski trip for your group, we work hard to provide ski trips which are exceptional value for

Small group? No problem.

Is your ski group smaller than you had initially hoped? money - wherever and whenever you travel. Turn to page 53 to

discover how much you get in our comprehensive packages.
If so, we have the ideal solution for launching your ski trip even

if you’re finding it difficult to gauge the commitment of pupils.
For even better value, we also offer the following options:

We twin your small group with a similar small group from another school.

FlexiSki.

FlexiSki gives you all the benefits of a PGL ski trip, but because we allocate your accommodation at a later stage in the booking process, we can guarantee you our lowest possible prices. It’s a great value for money solution for large or small groups.
You’ll share the coach, hotel, ski school and the services of your PGL rep and be treated as one group, but of course room allocations will always remain separate.

It means you can still get to the slopes and there is no compromise in the quality of your PGL ski experience.
FlexiSki is valid for half term and Easter peak weeks for travel to Austria, Italy, Andorra and the Czech Republic. We confirm your accommodation details 3-4 months before your departure. Interested? Call us for more details.
It also means you won’t incur a supplement for taking a small group.

5-day ski options.

An alternative money-saving option is to reduce the duration of your trip but maintain the number of hours on the slopes. Some schools opt for an eight day trip (five days skiing) by coach rather than the full nine days (six days skiing).

This could save up to £50 per person without reducing the number of hours of ski instruction. Groups spend five nights in resort rather than six and have five days skiing with five hours of ski lessons per day.

5 day options are available in selected resorts subject to availability. Please contact us for details.

At home

in the mountains

The heart of your ski trip.

Jugendgästehäuser (JGH) and Youth Hotels

No two ski groups are the same, so we’ve carefully selected a choice of accommodation to meet the different requirements of our groups – from youth hotels with doorstep skiing, to familyrun hotels in resort, and plenty in between. They’re safe, secure and regularly audited to meet all School Travel Forum guidelines.
Large capacity properties accommodating up to six groups with in-house facilities such as sports halls, cinemas and games rooms.

Pensions and family-run properties

Smaller scale properties, often more traditional in layout, with a homely feel but without the indoor facilities found at youth accommodation - though dining rooms can be used for meetings or activity space. Food is generally home cooked by the owners.
Students generally sleep 2-6 to a room in bunks or twin beds: teachers are usually allocated twin or triple rooms. A continental breakfast, packed lunch and a three course evening meal are included as part of your ski package.

The guide opposite covers the types of accommodation we offer:

Single occupancy hotels
For full details, visit the hotel pages on our website.

These are often family-owned properties in small villages. There may be a few private guests, but most of the hotel will be available for your group’s exclusive use.

Doorstep properties

Located on or close to the piste, within walking distance of lifts and often providing the option of hot lunches so you can return to your accommodation during the midday break from ski lessons.

It can be skied in either direction and a free shuttle bus operates during the day along the Saalbach-Hinterglemm road.
