The Swedish Armed Forces will host CISM REGIONAL MILITARY FENCING TOURNAMENT – NORDIC CUP 2018 The Swedish Delegation to CISM has the great honour to invite a mission representing the Armed Forces of your country to participate in the CISM Regional Military Fencing Tournament – Nordic Cup 2018. Nordic Cup is a sword fencing tournament and will take place 12th to 15th of September 2018 at the Air Defence Regiment in Halmstad, situated on the south west coast of Sweden.

Wednesday 12th - Arrival of missions - Lodging - Technical meeting - Welcome address Thursday 13th - Opening ceremony - Competition Friday 14th - Competition - Prize giving ceremony - Closing dinner Saturday 15th - Departure of missions

B. Composition of the Mission

 1 team captain  1 referee  1 coach  3 male competitors  3 female competitors

The missions can have a total number of 9 persons. You may compete with 1 non- existent fencer in the team.

C. Access to the Location of the Competition

The Championship is hosted by the Swedish Armed Forces. Swedish Air Defense Regiment (Lv 6) in Halmstad, situated at the Swedish west coast 130 km south of Gothenburg, is responsible for the practical arrangements.

Halmstad can be reached;  By air to Kastrup, Copenhagen and train from Kastrup to Halmstad.  By train to the station in Halmstad.  By road to the town.

The organiser will meet at Halmstad railway station due to your arrival in the final entry document. All travel costs to and from Sweden are at the charge of the missions.

During the competition in Halmstad the missions are guests of the Swedish Armed forces. Board and lodging are at the expense of the organisers.

E. Fencing regulations of the Championship

The competition will be held according to the rules of FIE and CISM regulations. It is an individual and a team competition in a pool unique, one male and one female. Safety; - 800 N clothing - 1600 N mask - 800 N plastron - FIE sword (epée, degen)

F. Uniforms

Uniform: at welcome address, prize giving ceremony and closing dinner. Fencing/training dress: at the opening ceremony and the competition. Informal: during free time.
