    Radiografía social de Tetuán (Madrid) Aproximación a partir de varias fuentes Asamblea 15M de Tetuán Tercera actualización, julio de 2016 El presente texto surgió en el primer trimestre de 2014 como parte de la campaña “Invisibles de Tetuán”. Se quería obtener una aproximación a las condiciones precarias de vida y de trabajo de una parte del vecindario en materia de renta, empleo, vivienda y salud, a fin de visibilizar los problemas y poner las bases para abordarlos desde el apoyo mutuo y la movilización ciudadana. Con posterioridad han surgido otros grupos de Invisibles, ligados a asambleas del 15M, en Hortaleza, Villaverde, Coslada y Sierra Norte de Madrid, que nos hemos constituido como Red de Invisibles y hemos promovido varias iniciativas, entre ellas la Campaña RMI: tu derecho. Existen algunas fuentes que se refieren expresamente al distrito de Tetuán y a sus barrios (Bellas Vistas, Cuatro Caminos, Castillejos, Almenara, Valdeacederas y Berruguete) pero la mayoría de informaciones relativas a la pobreza, la precariedad y las prestaciones sociales no descienden a nivel de distrito y, menos, de barrios, por lo que pueden resultar invisibles. Para resolver esta dificultad, además de recoger los datos registrados, se hacen estimaciones aproximadas para las informaciones no disponibles, trasladando los resultados de ámbitos más amplios (la ciudad de Madrid, la comunidad autónoma o el conjunto de España) al volumen y características de la población existente en el distrito, cuyos datos conocemos(*). 1) Renta y pobreza. 2) Prestaciones mínimas de subsistencia. 3) Paro, salarios y prestaciones de desempleo. Contenido 4) Vivienda. 5) Salud, personas mayores, ayudas a la dependencia.

    , , Retrato de Beatriz Galindo, la Latina Texto de José María Sánchez MOLLEDO Imágenes de Fundación LÁZARO GAL- DIANa, ARCM, AGA y archivo del autor LA MUJER Q!JE DA NOMBRE A UN DISTRITO El distrito de Latina, número 10 de los 21 que componen la administración mu- nicipal de Madrid, es uno de los más extensos y poblados, con una superficie de más de 2500 hectáreas y una población superior a los 250 000 habitantes. Desde su creación, en 1976, no ha despertado gran interés por parte de los investigado- res, aunque se trata de un viejo territorio con abundante historia y el único de la ciudad que debe su nombre a una mujer: Beatriz Galindo, escritora y humanista, profesora de latín de Isabel la Católica. 18!Madrid Histórico - La iglesia de Santa Cristina, de es- tilo neomudéjar, fue una obra del arquitecto Enrique María Repullés y Vargas, quien la construyó, entre 1904 y 1906, sobre los terrenos de la antigua ermita del Angel de la Guarda. De hecho, el nombre del barrio de Puerta del Angel se deriva de esa ermita y del antiguo acceso a la Casa de Campo cuan- do esta se extendía hasta el paseo de Extremadura. La historia del distrito de Latina va de la mano de la historia de los Carabancheles, el Alto y el Bajo, a los que perteneció (salvo una franja de te- rreno junto al Manzanares que ya correspondía a la capital desde el siglo anterior) hasta su anexión a Madrid en 1948. En 1576, los vecinos de Ca- rabanchel Alto respondían a la encuesta enviada por Felipe II a los pueblos de Castilla, señalando el territorio de los Carabancheles «desde la Real Casa de Campo de Su Majestad hasta el término de Villaverde, desde el río Manzanares hasta los El puente de Segovia es una de las escasas obras términos de A1corcón y de Leganés».

En ese marco, respondiendo al compromiso adquirido en la Comisión Técnica inter‐áreas, convocada al efecto en mayo de 2016, se realizó y publicó en el Portal de Datos Abiertos del Ayuntamiento de Madrid el “Panel de Indicadores de los Distritos y los Barrios de Madrid”. Estudio Socio‐Demográfico de distritos”. Este documento es un instrumento a disposición del conjunto de la organización municipal, los distritos y Áreas, para el conocimiento territorial de la Ciudad. También para el conjunto de la ciudadanía y personas interesadas ya que está publicado y disponible en el Portal de Datos Abiertos del Ayuntamiento. A través de la sistematización de la información, de la selección de indicadores desagregados por sexos, que representan diferentes dimensiones sociodemográficas de la ciudad, como son la población y sus rasgos, la renta, la salud, la vivienda, los equipamientos, etc., y los enlaces a las fuentes de datos originales, se pretende dar soporte al diagnóstico, la planificación y la gestión de los Distritos y barrios.

ZOFÍO 203 BIBLIOGRAFÍA 211 7 8 INTRODUCCIÓN A lo largo de estas páginas vamos a recorrer el distrito de Usera, su historia, sus calles, sus edificios, sus gentes, a partir de un texto conciso y de numerosas fotografías antiguas que guardan los archivos y de fotografías que hemos realizado recientemente para mostrar el estado actual del distrito, un distrito de historia reciente, no más de cien años y que se está consolidando como un gran distrito de la capital, su gran superficie verde con el Parque de Pradolongo y Madrid Río, su buena arquitectura con edificaciones de grandes arquitectos como Perrault a quien se debe la «Caja Mágica» así como la reducida edad media de sus habitantes hacen de Usera un distrito puntero en Madrid. Comenzamos con la descripción física del terreno, aquel espacio intermedio entre la ciudad de Madrid y los municipios de Villaverde y Carabanchel, dedicados a tierras de cultivo en los que parecía que la historia pasaba de largo, y nos sorprendemos con los yacimientos encontrados, el elefante de Orcasitas, los restos paleolíticos, los poblados neolíticos, los vestigios romanos, que han proporcionado piezas hoy conservadas en museos como el Museo de Ciencias Naturales o el Museo de San Isidro-los Orígenes, del Ayuntamiento de Madrid.

Exclusive (and excluding) areas have seemed to expand within the context of the resurgence of central spaces. The literature suggests that in parallel with this expansion, the most vulnerable population is being displaced and concentrated in suburban areas with worse access to all types of services. These changing processes in social composition at the intraurban scale cannot be understood without underlining the key role of migration and residential mobility. This article analyzes annual data on migration and residential mobility based on the population register of both cities. For the first time in the country, we have been able to include the variable level of studies to the dataset, which allows us to dissect the processes of substitution, polarization and segregation of the population. Keyword: Residential mobility, skilled migration, displacement, gentrification, suburbanization of poverty Introduction The neighborhoods of Barcelona and Madrid are undergoing intense transformations of their social composition due to a genuine struggle by residents to reside in certain areas of the city. In many neighborhoods, housing market prices, especially those of rental properties, exceed the prices reached at the end of the last expansive stage of the Spanish property market and have markedly increased since 2015.
