FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE PAUL RICHARDSON NAMED EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT OF GLOBAL HUMAN RESOURCES FOR UNIVERSAL MCCANN NEW YORK (May 7, 2007) – Universal McCann today announced the appointment of Paul Richardson as Executive Vice President of Global Human Resources. Richardson was previously Senior Vice President of Human Resources for Paramount Pictures Corporation. In his new role, Richardson will be responsible for managing human resources functions around the globe, on behalf of Universal McCann. He will be based in NY. Among his other professional accomplishments, Richardson had a distinguished career with The Times Mirror Company where he worked in both the law department and in senior human resources positions for more than a decade. He served as Corporate Counsel for The Times Mirror Company, was a visiting associate of Gibson, Dunn & Cruther, LLP, and returned to Times Mirror in the role of Assistant General Counsel of The Times Mirror Company and General Counsel for The Times Mirror Training Company. He was later promoted to Vice President, Human Resources and Legal Affairs for the StayWell Company, a Times Mirror consumer health publishing company, based in San Francisco, CA. In 1997, Richardson led and helped design METRO.biz, a corporate-wide leadership development program aimed at enhancing the diversity among the company’s senior management team. Under his leadership, the program was successful and earned recognition that year from Fortune magazine.
