Ne sono Fondatori la Regione Marche, la Provincia di Ancona, il Comune di Jesi ed il Comune di Maiolati Spontini. Si sono poi associati i Comuni di Montecarotto, di Monte San Vito, Monsano e San Marcello quali Partecipanti Aderenti . Un gruppo di imprese private, riunite in Art Venture , ne condividono le finalità e siedono nel Consiglio di Amministrazione in qualità di Fondatori Sostenitori: Gruppo Pieralisi, S.E.DA., Leo Burnett Italia, Moncaro Terre Cortesi, New Holland- Gruppo Fiat, Starcom Italia. La Fondazione riceve inoltre sostegno da Banca Marche, Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Jesi, Camera di Commercio Industria Artigianato Agricoltura di Ancona. Si tratta di un progetto totalmente innovativo che mira a conciliare la cultura con lo spettacolo in una prospettiva interdisciplinare ed internazionale, con l'obiettivo primario di valorizzare e studiare il patrimonio storico-musicale, con particolare attenzione a Giovanni Battista Pergolesi , nato a Jesi, e Gaspare Spontini , nato nella vicina Maiolati. Dal 2001 la Fondazione organizza annualmente un Festival internazionale dedicato alla valorizzazione delle composizioni dei due Autori e di quegli autori collegati all’opera dei due Compositori marchigiani, promuovendone l’esecuzione con strumenti coevi alla composizione previo lo studio delle fonti, l’approfondimento delle problematiche esecutive e stilistiche e la predisposizione di edizioni realizzate secondo criteri scientifici.

Tale, esponenziale crescita del gettito di titoli verdiani è, però, logicamente dovuta anche all’offerta di nuovi supporti tecnologici che, a distanza di più di dieci anni dalle passate celebrazioni, si è di molto diversificata (vedi il Super Audio CD e, nell’ambito dell’audiovisivo, il Blu-ray Disc). Ma non è tutto oro quel- lo che luccica. Lo sforzo delle case discografiche, le ‘minorities’ come le ‘majors’, non è che il disperato tentativo di tenere testa a una crisi del mer- cato discografico dovuta alla libera circolazione e condivisione di mate- riali audiovisivi resa possibile da Internet; crisi da loro cercata di arginare smerciando le registrazioni dei propri cataloghi proprio attraverso questo canale, rendendole disponibili agli internauti melomani con un click. Al momento, l’irreversibilità di questa ‘crisi’ si palesa nella radicalizzazione di quanto già constatato negli anni scorsi dai precedenti titolari di questa rubrica: «l’estinzione della registrazione in studio»1. This study of Serao’s female-centered narratives explores the predominant themes of solidarity, alienation, power, sacrifice, collective memory, and social consciousness. The first chapter, “The Language of Passion,” explores the unique language Serao employs to depict passionate love. The second chapter, “Martyrdom and Marginality,” ponders the grim fate of marginalized women and girls who, without the support and comfort of their female comrades, are unable to successfully navigate what is ostensibly a man’s world. Chapter Three, “Da lei, tutto,” examines the mother-daughter relationship and Serao’s overall treatment of motherhood. Chapter Four, “Chorality and Collective Memory,” investigates Serao’s choral studies, and their essential connection with collective memory.
