Introduction Please read the following carefully, prior to making use of the glossary! Citizens of all nations must be aware of the terms in this glossary, for purposes of cognitive liberty and anti-brainwashing in the electronic age. Some terms relate to technologies and considered as ‘classified’ (many of which now demonstrated in the civilian sector) and others refer to strategies being used. From the perspective of the specific technologies, 1st year university physics and biology should be more than sufficient preparation – if you do not have this background, plenty of online materials can fill in the gaps on the science concepts underlying existing neuroweapons. The scientific references are complemented by personal experience and online research. Keep in mind that many online resources may be disinformation to distract people from truth and prevent correct understanding of present capacities and practices in the matter of psychological warfare in the electronic age (neurowarfare). Scientific validity cannot be attributed to all sources, as many are not peer-review scientific sources, and much other content is a mashing of numerous similar sources where I am unsure as to how to attribute the credit for the original content. Also, a fair few entries are basically modified from the Wikipedia open source encyclopaedia to make the relevance for psychological warfare more clear. Other sources include official public documents, formally established social or political bodies, a handful of non-peer- review specialist sites, some commercial sites and suspiciously rare references from mainstream media. For some terms, I present a Google Trend image when there is sufficient data in the Google database. For the specific technologies, there were rapid jumps from 0 to high around 2005, then largely dropped off the radar. The term gaslighting was previously almost unheard of, but has been rising exponentially. The term targeted individual did not exist prior to 2005, but appeared shortly after those quick blips of interest in the specific electronic weapons being used, and use of the term has been generally increasing since. Use your head. Do not jump to crazy conclusions. Approach this glossary the way a scientist would approach anything. With simultaneous openness and scepticism. Please do not perceive any of this content as threatening or intimidating. Yes, this is scary. But, we need to be psychologically prepared and aware of the tools which may be brought against the public. Finally, I recommend reading the glossary through twice. The first time, do not slow yourself down too much by thinking “you’re so stupid” if you do not fully understanding all details at first. The second time, read more carefully, especially on concepts which you feel are most important for you to understand. Cloud to describe "a set of political and cultural discourses that have adopted psychotherapy's lexicon—the conservative language of healing, coping, adaptation, and restoration of previously existing order—but in contexts of social and political conflict". Constructing the Self argued that the rhetoric of therapy encourages people to focus on themselves and their private lives rather than attempt to reform flawed systems of social and political power. This form of persuasion is primarily used by politicians, managers, journalists and entertainers as a way to cope with the crisis of the American Dream. The rhetoric of therapy has two functions, according to Cloud: 1 to exhort conformity with the prevailing social order and 2 to encourage identification Constructing the Self therapeutic values: individualismfamilism, self-helpand self- absorption. The origins of therapeutic discourse, along with advertising and other consumerist cultural forms, emerged during the industrialization of the West during the 18th century. The new emphasis on the acquisition of wealth during this period produced discourse about the "democratic self- determination of individuals conceived as autonomous, self-expressive, self-reliant subjects" or, in short, the " self-made man ". Therefore, the language of personal responsibility, adaptation, and healing served not to liberate the working class, the poor, and the socially marginalized, but to persuade members of these classes that they are individually responsible for their plight.

Harper Mental Health & Social Change Research Group School of Psychology University of East London London E15 4LZ UK Abstract Over recent decades a research programme involving non-clinical samples has provided a justification for the use of normalising practices within Cognitive Behaviour Therapy for Psychosis. These studies have found that, contrary to mainstream psychiatric assumptions, beliefs considered delusional are neither rare in the general population nor qualitatively different from “non-delusional” beliefs whilst theories from a “normal” rather than “abnormal” psychology have shown them to be intelligible rather than un-understandable. Yet the programme’s inherent limitations have meant that the potential of non-clinical research has not been fully realised. An alternative research programme is proposed which could elucidate the diversity of belief in the general population by examining the role of social norms and lived belief narratives in unconventional belief communities. This could address the limitations of the normalising programme, provide a necessary corrective to the “clinician’s illusion” bias and prompt a more fundamental reconceptualization of beliefs considered delusional. In the most serious cases these beliefs cause emotional distress in those who hold them, and typify the core symptoms of psychological disorders. Each of the chapters in this volume seeks to examine the role that biases in reasoning can play in the formation of aberrant beliefs. The chapters consider several conjectures about the role of reasoning in aberrant belief, including the role of the jumping to conclusion bias in delusional beliefs, the probabilistic bias in paranormal beliefs, the role of danger-confirming reason- ing in phobias, and the controversial notion that people with schizophrenia do not succumb to specific forms of reasoning bias. There are also chapters evaluating dif- ferent theoretical perspectives, and suggestions for future research.
