Dear Friends,
We are counting down the days to meet you here for our project “Be Informed, Be Active.” We are very excited to host you during one week in Bakuariani, Georgia. We prepared an interesting, productive and entertaining programme for you.
This info pack will make everything clear in your mind and let you know what will be expected for and from you. Below you will find all the necessary information regarding the project. Please read this info pack very carefully.
Project Summary:
“Be Informed, Be Active” is a training course organized by the Youth Association DRONI in Georgia for young people from different countries of Europe. The project is about raising the awareness among youth about the new media in order for them to be an active part of civil society. The participants will learn how to use the mass and social media effectively. During 7 days the participants will get a chance to take part in different workshops, practical exercises, discussions and competitions.
Project aims:
To raise the awareness of the importance of mass and social media in youth activities; To encourage them to share their experiences in using mass and social media for promoting youth activities; To increase the involvement of youth people in their society via mass and social media.

Language:
The working language during the TC will be English. If any participants have a difficulty to understand or speak English, their team members are kindly asked to provide help.
Reimbursement:
The 70% of travel costs will be reimbursed. We need full justification of travel costs incurred (travel tickets, boarding passes, invoices etc…) Don’t lose your boarding passes, otherwise your costs will not be reimbursed.
According to the rules of YiA program, and in order to comply with environmental standards, we kindly ask you to take the most environmental friendly and cost effective alternative available to you.
! Note: If you have paid for your ticket with a credit card, you are requested to bring along the confirmation of payment (i.e. credit card slip and/or bank statement).
Travelling to Georgia:
Participants from the EU countries are allowed to travel by plane to Tbilisi. Participants from Armenia are requested to travel by train or bus.
All participants will be met at the airport and will be taken to Bakuriani by bus. Upon arrival, you will be picked up from the Tbilisi airport (in case of Armenian participants - bus station) by one of our volunteers. They will be the ones holding up a paper with the title of the project. The minibuses from Tbilisi to Bakuriani and back will be provided by the organisers. You will be charged 30% of the travel cost Tbilisi- Bakuriani-Tbilisi. The trip will not cost more than 15 EUR/person.
! Note: Although you can plan your travel individually and arrive earlier/depart later, the organisers can only commit to reimburse and organise your board and lodging during the mentioned training days.

Project venue:
The project will take place in Bakuriani, which is a skiing resort in the Borjomi district of Georgia. The facilities are particularly suitable for training and the participants will have the opportunity to enjoy the mountainous surroundings during the training.
Lovely and cozy hotel will create perfect atmosphere in the group. There is a wireless internet connection in the house, that you can use.
Practicalities:
If you represent an organisation, please bring information materials about the organisation, i.e. photos and reports;
Bring your leptops and cameras.
Bring some national drink, snacks and music from your home country, as a contribution to the intercultural evenings!
Please bring warm suits, because the weather in April is quite changeable and rainy. Money exchange rate : 1 EUR = 2.37 GEL;
