Pavol Demitra bol slovenský hokejový útočník. Naposledy pôsobil v ruskom klube KHL Lokomotiv Jaroslavģ. Na viacerých reprezentačných podujatiach bol kapitánom slovenského mužstva. Posledný zápas zaĩ odohral 9. mája 2011 proti Dánsku. Bol Majster sveta v hokejbale z roku 1999. Pavol Demitra začínal s hokejom v rodnom meste, v klube Spartak ZĴS Dubnica nad Váhom. Vrcholový hokej začal hraĵ v sezóne 1992/93 v poslednom ročníku česko-slovenskej ligy za Duklu Trenčín. V nasledujúcej sezóne debutoval v NHL ako hráč Ottawy Senators, ktorou bol v roku 1993 draftovaný v 9. kole z 227. miesta. Väčšiu časĵ trojročného pôsobenia v Ottawe hrával vo farmárskom mužstve Prince Edward Island Senators. Pred sezónou 1996/97 sa stal hráčom St. Louis Blues. V novom klube sa stal čoskoro jednou z opôr, vytvoril produktívny útok s Michalom Handzušom a Ģubošom Bartečkom na krídlach, ktorý bol prezývaný Slovak line. V poslednom zápase ročníka 1998/99 proti Los Angeles Kings niekoģko sekúnd pred koncom (pri súperovej hre bez brankára) smeroval po pravom krídle so Scottom Youngom k prázdnej bránke. Gól by mu zabezpečil 90. bod a tým prémiu 500 000 USD. Nevystrelil však, ale prihral Youngovi, ktorému by jeho gól priniesol 300 000 USD.

Tier I Mite AAA 1999 and 2000 Birth Years Buzzy Deschamps Buzz Deschamps hails from Penetanguishene, Ontario, Canada and currently resides in Bayshore. Married for 35 years and the father of 5, Buzzy landed in New York by way of a 10 year professional hockey career. Buzzy worked in the New York Rangers and Calgary Flames organizations as a Pro Scout. Deschamps also played for Baltimore & Providence in the AHL, the Champion St Paul Rangers in the CPHL under legendary coach Fred Shero, and Los Angeles & Chicago Cougars in the WHA. Buzzy was also the Long Island Ducks all time goal scoring leading with 59 goals, varsity coach for St John University, and 13 years Director of the Islander Youth Hockey Program.
