Pastor Pastoral Associate 2/19/12—061 St. Luke—page 4 SAINT LUKE SCHOOL REGIONALIZATION UPDATE—AND PHASE III NAME SURVEY! “The Blue Ribbon Commission” in conjunction with the Office of Catholic Education in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia released their Report on Friday, January 6th. This report was a result of their year-long study of the Catholic Elementary and High Schools in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. As a result of the recommendations of this Commission, Saint Luke School will regionalize with Immaculate Conception School (Jenkintown), and the new Regional School will be located at the Saint Luke campus in Glenside. We at Saint Luke’s have made much progress in the past six weeks as far as getting ourselves organized for this change, and an “Implementation Team” has been appointed (consisting of members from Saint Luke’s and Immaculate Conception) to see us through this process. The SECOND issue of I-Team Insights (newsletter from the Team) is available on our school website www.saintlukeschool.org.

IN ADDITION, beginning Tuesday, February 21 through Monday, February 27 PHASE III of our “name survey” is also available on our school website, where school and parish families may indicate their preferences for a new school name. Over the past weeks, school families from both Saint Luke’s and Immaculate Conception were invited to submit names for consideration, and the top THREE are listed in the survey. All parishioners are invited to log on to www.saintlukeschool.org and participate in the survey. Please note that system requirements will allow only one response per computer. Further information and results will be posted in the bulletin and on www.saintlukeschool.org.
