The tone is singularly smooth and even all through, Evan Williams rousing himself for a supreme effort on the more exacting portions, notably at the cli- max, " My father Parsifal, gloriously reigneth." The silvery quality of the voice makes this an ideal Lohengrin performance. (Speed 81.) Mr. GERVASE ELWES (Tenor). 10-inch Record, 3s. 6d. " To Daisies" is a pretty love song, in which the singer secures a beautiful light tone, followed by some striking crescendos, the closing passages being infused with magnificent feeling. "The Song of the Blackbird" is an exceptionally fine song, which goes with a rush that sweeps all before it, the accompaniment being wonderfully brilliant. (Speed 81.) Published by Boosey r' Co.
