This is Community Association Shop, which provides local meat, milk, bread, pasties, ice cream, cakes, wines and all main items plus daily papers.

There is high speed broadband and a photocopier available to hire. Why not follow the shop on Facebook to find out about other services and ‘happenings’.

Also on the premises is a cafe run by the Community Association, which serves a variety of beverages, homemade cakes and light meals. A menu is available.

The post office provides a comprehensive service and closes at 2.00pm [not open Saturdays]

The shop and post office are a focus of our community. You can help support this essential facility by purchasing shares of £10 and are available in the shop or from Dominic Fairman. The shop’s opening hours are seasonal so remember to check before setting out.

There are a number of local plumbers, electricians, decorators, gardeners, printers and other businesses. Ask at the shop or pub.

Blisland Village Hall Many activities are weekly: table tennis, short mat bowling, chess club and yoalates. There is also a gardening club and the Blisland Blisters [walks]. There are also shows etc. For more details - Mary Pope  850338.

Blisland School is located just outside the beautiful village of Blisland in a hamlet named Waterloo on the very edge of . The School is situated only a mile from the A30 and is 5 miles from the nearest town of Bodmin.

About Our Neighbourhood* The Rural area of Bodmin covers over ten separate , including Lanivet, , , , , , , Blisland, St Breward, Nanstallon and a large area of Bodmin Moor. It has a population of about 5,800 and has a very low crime level. Each parish is totally different from the next, but there is a fantastic community spirit in each village. It is a very diverse area to Police due to the sheer size of the land covered.

The Blisland Inn,  851739 You will be assured of a warm welcome from Margaret and Gary Marshall and their staff. The Inn is a CAMRA pub, famous for the quality and variety of it ales. There is excellent food and it is advisable to book especially for Sunday lunch. [No food is served Sunday evening.]

Most of the 80 square mile Moor is a Sites of Special Scientific Interest [SSSI], and an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty [AONB]. Blisland is 1 of the 11 Moor Parishes that make up the AONB.
