The data used in the “Atlas of the Barents Sea Fishes” were gathered on the IMR-PINRO ecosystem survey (2004-2009). The maps presented in this supplement are based on data from February-March 2007-2012 that are gathered on the joint IMR PINRO winter survey. Differences between the two surveys and seasons and how these influence the spatial distributions presented in the maps are described in the introduction. The species descriptions are the same as in and the structure of this report is similar to the “Atlas of the Barents Sea Fishes”.
