Virbhadra Singh Announces College and Gas Agency for Tikkar in Rohru Tehsil by : INVC Team Published on : 3 Jul, 2015 12:35 PM IST Virbhadra Singh announces college and gas agency for Tikkar in Rohru tehsil By : INVC Team Published On : 3 Jul, 2015 12:35 PM IST INVC NEWS Shimla, Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh today announced opening of a degree college at Tikkar in Nawar valley of Rohru tehsil in Shimla district which would be made functional from next academic session. The Chief Minister also announced opening of a gas agency at Tikkar. He made these announcements while addressing a public meeting at Tikkar. He said he was personally going to monitor the progress of Theog-Hatkoti-Rohru road and for the very reason he would travel back to Shimla by road on Saturday. He assured undertaking repair and renovation of links roads in the area and directed for earlier completion of roads under construction. Shri Virbhadra Singh exhorted people to encourage their children for taking admissions in colleges being opened in rural areas and not to run towards the cities on the pretext of better education there. The Chief Minister said he was happy and satisfied to serve the people of the state for the last over thirty years and it was there love, trust and affection that he was able to serve the state as Chief Minister for sixth time. Shri Virbhadra Singh said since the formation of the state, the successive Congress governments worked with commitment for development and welfare of the people. Today, all the villages had been connected by roads and there were more than 34500 kms road network in the state. There were more than 15000 schools in the government sector in the state and in health sector, the state was marching ahead by providing quality health services to the people of the state, he added. He said it was unfortunate that few opportunists play dirty politics in the name of religion and region and try to divide the people but he would not let it happen in the better interest of the state. "I never believe in regionalism and casteism and will keep serving the people with same zeal and devotion in the times to come" said the Chief Minister. Taking a jibe at the opposition, he said he equally care for the hometown of the former Chief Minister and out of three medical colleges being opened in the state, one was being opened at Hamirpur. "We don't compare development with political affiliations of opponents as BJP does and we treat all regions of the state alike", he added. He announced a sum of rupees 15,000 to the school children for presenting cultural programme on the occasion. Chief Parliamentary Secretary and local MLA Shri Rohit Thakur listed the development of the area to the successive cong governments under the leadership of Shri Virbhadra Singh. He said he was committed to connect every panachayat headquarter with metaled roads in future. Shri Thakur also raised the demands of the area the main being opening of gas agency at Tikkar, up-gradation of Tikkar sub-tehsil and college at Tikkar. Praddhan of Tikkar panchayat Shri B.R Deshta welcomed the Chief Minister. Earlier, Shri Virbhadra Singh enroute Tikkar from Rohru announced rupees five lakh for beautification of Rudra temple complex at Pujarali-IV and up- gradation of veterinary dispensary to hospital. He also assured construction of approach road from Badshal to Gharot besides announcing facility of rain shelter and toilets at Deoli bazar. While addressing a gathering at Badshal, he announced up-gradation of GMS Badshal to High school and construction of Badshal bridge. He directed for repair of Ramteri-Badshal-Kharla road on priority. The Chief Minister also laid foundation stone of additional building of GSSS Badshal in Dharara gram panchayat which will have cost Rs. 22.11 lakh and will art, craft, cultural and computer room besides facility of library and science lab. He also laid foundation stones of veterinary dispensary building at village Samra which will be completed by spending Rs. 13.50 lakh and lift water supply scheme for Samra panchayat to be completed at a cost of Rs. 80 lakh. He laid foundation stone of community health centre building at Tikkar to cost Rs 50 lakh, additional building of GSSS Tikaar to cost Rs 16 lakh, and performed bhoomi poojan of up- gradation of Rs. 4.01 crore Deoli-Khalai-Dhari Kuppar road, Rs. 5.82 crore Deoli-Ghasani-Khalger road and Rs. 5.45 crore Ghanasidhar-Kadiwan-Ghasani road in Nawar valley. He also inaugurated link road to www.internationalnewsandviews.com Dhanoti village which has been completed with an outlay of Rs. 5.12 crore. The Chief Minister also visited proposed site of ITI building at Tikkar to be constructed by spending Rs. 5.86 core. Indian houses and temples were profusely adorned with it and are often inseparable from it. Woodcarving, an indigenous tradition craft finds a mention in the ancient texts such as the Rig Veda and Matsya Purana. Woodcarving craft was well developed in many states spe- cially, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Kerala, Kashmir and Madhya Pradesh. They differed in terms of the kind of wood and the craft tradition. In the early days of kings and nawabs, woodcarving was essentially seen as an adjunct to architecture. Palaces, havelis and temples were decorated with incredibly carved doors, windows and jalis (lattice work). The present paper describes traditional woodcarving work adoring houses and temples of Pabbar valley of Himachal Pradesh.     MINUTES OF THE 1st MEETING OF STATE LEVEL SCHEME SANCTIONING COMMITTEE OF STATE WATER AND SANITATION MISSION FOR THE YEAR 2019-20 HELD UNDER THE CHAIRMANSHIP OF SECRETARY (IPH) TO THE GOVT. OF H.P. ON 6TH SEPTEMBER, 2019. The Ist meeting of State Level Scheme Sanctioning Committee (SLSSC) of State Water & Sanitation Mission was held in NIC Conference Hall H.P. Secretariat, Shimla-2 at 11 A.M. on 6th September ,2019 under the Chairmanship of Secretary IPH. LIST OF PARTICIPANTS IS ATTACHED AS ANNEXURE- 1. At the onset of the meeting the Member Secretary welcomed the Chairman and the participants to the meeting. He apprised the members about the Jal Jeevan Mission which has recently being launched by the Government of India.Thereafter the items of the agenda taken up for discussion as under: AGENDA ITEM NO. 1 The minutes of the second meeting of SLSSC held on 21.7.2018 were confirmed. AGENDA ITEM NO. 2 The Chairman and the committee was apprised that Estimates/DPRs amounting to Rs. 197342.3 Lakh had been received under the Jal Jeevan Mission for approval of the SLSSC wherein 269 schemes have been proposed to be approved with 345652 House Holds in 10593 habitations. The DPRs as per Annexure “A” had been prepared in detail as per the Jal Jeevan Mission norms. The DPRs as per the Annexure “B” have been framed to increase the service level and provide Functional Households Tap Connections mostly to existing /ongoing schemes after proposing some retrofitting. The DPRs as per Annexure “C” were not fully framed as per the JJM norms.
