New Teachers Write your answers here: Most school websites have a message from the headteacher or other staff in the school.

a) Can you find the welcome message? What does it say? b) Who is the headteacher at your new school? c) Do you know who your form tutor will be? d) Look for the ‘staff list’. Can you find an english teacher, a maths teacher, a science teacher, an art teacher, a music teacher and a history teacher? Write their names in the box. Uniform What does your new school uniform look like? Search for it on the website or use pictures.

Journey to school Answer the questions here:

a) Where is your new school? Find out the address from the website. b) How will you get to school? c) Will you need an oyster card? d) How long will the journey take you? (use google maps to help you). e) What time will you need to get to school? f) What time will you need to leave your house? g) Draw a map of your journey to school.

a) When is your first day of school? Write down the day of the week and the date! b) Do you know your timetable yet? If so, when does your school day start? c) When does your school day end? School Values Write your thoughts here: Lots of schools have a set of school values or a motto. Crown Lane’s values are the six superpowers! Look at your new school’s website. a) Does the school have a vision or set of values? What is it? b) Think of some things you like about the set of values or vision. c) Now, write down how you can show these values on your first day in Year 7. For example, if one of the school’s values in kindness, what could you do on your first day to be kind? Have a look at the pictures (find the ‘gallery’) on your school website. a) What can you see that looks exciting? b) Which school trips does your new school run? c) Which subjects or classrooms look interesting to you? (for example, the art room) d) What are you most looking forward to learning in your new school? e) Which extra- curricular activities does your new school offer? f) Which extra-curricular activities would you like to try?
