Equipment:
1. “C”- clamp and two wrenches.
Procedure:
1. Tighten “C”-clamp over the leaves of the spring adjacent to the centre bolt. 2. Using the wrenches remove the centre bolt. 3. Tighten the “C”-clamp over the leaves of the spring adjacent to one of the rebound clips. 4. Using the wrenches remove the bolts holding the clip and then remove it. 5. Repeat the procedure on the remaining clip.
CAUTION: If it is necessary to hammer the bolts out NEVER strike a bolt directly in the threaded end. Turn a nut onto the bolt and strike it with a hammer.
6. Use the “C”-clamp to compress the leaves in proper alignment and re-install the (1) Centre Bolt and then (2) the Rebound Clips.
